We were greeted by the warm and friendly owners with a very welcome cup of tea, who live next door and are there on hand if you need anything. The studio is spacious and beautifully cared for, plus very well equipped. There were welcome essentials in the fridge.
As it is located on top of the hill the views were lovely from both the front and back. It is best to have a car here as there are so many interesting and historic places to visit nearby. Kinsale itself is utterly charming but can be busy. We were there the first week of September so it had quitened down and so very enjoyable. The Charles Fort was a really interesting visit, walking distance from Kinsale along the scenic Scilly walkway. The furthest we went was Cobh where all the emigrants, convicts and the last people to board the Titanic left from. Quite an emotive place. We really do recommend this place and thank Kathleen and Jim for their warm hospitality.
Beautiful setting, great wood interior studio about 8k from Kinsale
Kathleen and Jim are there if you need them but respect your privacy
Kinsale has all the history, culture, and natural beauty you could hope for.
The cottage is beautiful and in a stunning, tranquil location. It had everything we needed and more. Jim and Kathleen were wonderful hosts and made sure we were comfortable and well looked after. We would really recommend this charming cottage to anyone wanting to visit the Cork County. It felt like home away from home and we loved every minute there. We will definitely be back! Thank you!
Ideal cottage for us
Place was terrific. Just the right size, price was very good and the owners were wonderful hosts. We could not have planned it any better. Location was great for day trips and the views out the front door were spectacular. The town of Ballinspittle (1 Kilometer away) has one pub (Hurleys) with the best fish & Chips and beef & Guiness we have ever tasted. City of Cork is about 40 min drive.
