Stunning location - Fishermans and walkers Paradise.
Beautiful house in an amazing location
If you are looking for somewhere to go and chill out and admire breathtaking scenery then do not hesitate to stay in this lovely house. Based in Glencar overlooking Lough Accoose this 3 bedroom house provided the perfect base for 6 adults and a 2 year old little girl. It had everything we needed and was lovely and homely inside. The house owners Mary and John Obrien were fantastic, they made sure we were looked after at all times and upon arriving at the house we found complimentary soda bread, milk, tea and coffee. We were provided with towels and also loved the fact there was films and books we could use. The house is off the beaten track but was exactly what we were looking for. So quiet and relaxing it was just want we all wanted as a base to chill out but also near enough to explore the delights of Kerry. The roads nearby led to the ring of Kerry in less than 15 minutes and we explored loads of areas including Skellig Michael and Dingle in the week we spent there. Nearby we ate at the Glencar Hotel and can highly reccomend the roast dinner and also went for drinks at the climbers inn that also doubled up as a mini market for essentials like bread. I can't stress enough the amazing time we had here, the sunset over Lough Accoose was just stunning and on the less cloudy nights the amount of stars you could see were incredible. Mary and John were so lovely and just the perfect hosts. Don't hesitate to book!!!!
