NEW AD. The apartment is in the "Old Town District" of Seville, between the Alameda de Hercules and the Plaza de San Lorenzo, where its located the Basilica del Gran Poder. In this district bordering the river Guadalquivir include, among others, the Basilica of the Macarena, Museum of Fine Arts, the Teatro de la Maestranza, the bullring Maestranza, the Golden Tower, the Royal Shipyards, the neighborhood of Santa Cruz, the Cathedral and the Giralda, the Archivo de Indias, Plaza del Salvador, City Hall, the Plaza de la Encarnación and the Palacio de Dueñas.

The apartment is in a very lively area. The Alameda de Hercules is one of the liveliest spots in the city where, besides having a wide range of bars and restaurants, are usually given a large number of activities (markets, musical performances, small theaters, etc.). It is a meeting point for people of all ages, both children and adults. Fair Street has certainly pulse. Piazza San Lorenzo has several of the most famous bars in the city. In the environment there are a large number of churches, all worth seeing, at the confluence of the historical, artistic and religious. Among them, the Parish of San Lorenzo, the Basilica del Gran Poder, the Church of San Martin, that of Omnium Sanctorum, San Luis (now deconsecrated day) and the Basilica of the Macarena.

Although the Old Casto is the largest in Spain and one of the largest in Europe, it is perfectly possible for him to move on foot. In addition, it is the best way to know the city. However, the Municipal Transport Company TUSSAM offers a wide range of services that connect to anywhere in the city. There is also a Municipal Service Bicycle SEVICI that can be very useful. In any case, we must insist on the recommendation of touring the city on foot, it is certainly the best option.

The apartment is in a central, quiet and silent building. It is on the second floor and has a lift. The kitchen is properly equipped and it can find, among other things, coffee, tea, milk and biscuits. There is wifi and air conditioning / heat. Very clean and tidy, nicely positioned in the centre of the city.

We found the apartment to be well equipped and clean & tidy. The only issue is that when the windows are shut there is an odour that builds up after a while - but there is no need to close the windows as it is a very secure apartment. That aside it is a great little bolthole. It is well positioned to access all the major sights of the city.

Very nice but with a couple of problems

The apartment is very clean, with everything you need for the kitchen and bathroom. It is well located, close to bars and restaurants, but in a quiet area. It takes about 15-30 minutes to reach the various historical sites. Fernando is very nice and welcoming and even left some oranges and drinks for us. Overall it is a good value! However, there were two problems, which is why I'm not giving it 5 stars:

(1) The heater pumped in air which smelled like sewage...a very strong smell. We first thought it was just a matter of letting it run for a few minutes but it continued to do so over the 4 nights we were there. We were there in March so the nights were cold...perhaps in the summer this is not such a big problem since no heating is necessary.

(2) Be careful about getting locked inside the courtyard! You need a key to open the courtyard door and when we left on our last day we were told to leave the keys inside the apartment. The apartment door locks automatically when you close the door so once we left the keys inside we could not go back to get them. When we got to the courtyard we realized we needed the other key in order to get out. We thought there would be a button to open the courtyard door but we were unable to find it. We called and were told there is one, but at that point someone else came in the building and we were able to get out. So make sure you discuss this issue with Fernando to avoid any suprises on the last day.

Owner's Response: Cristina, thanks for the general comments and I'm sorry you had two problems. Anyway, I'd like tell you something to address your problems. 1. About the smell: I wish you had told me about this during your stay, as I could have called the technician to fix the problem. In any case it is now fixed. 2. About leaving: As we explained on the phone, you didn't need a key to get out, you just had to press the button which is near the door, on the right, next to the extinguiser. Sorry for the confusión but it's the first time a guest didn't find this button, none of the previous guests had that problem.

El apartamento está situado en una zona tranquila, al lado de muchos sitios para tapear y donde poder comer y cenar. Está a muy poquito de los lugares monumentales de interés y destaca por su limpieza. El propietario muy atento en todo momento. Totalmente recomendable.

Nous étions à Séville chez Fernando la semaine dernière et nous voulons dire que tout s' est très bien passé

Nous avons trouvé un logement très propre , de sympathiques petites choses qui nous ont bien dépannés ,une bonne literie ( c' est important )

Nous avons pu tout faire à pied tellement l' appartement est bien situé dans un immeuble très calme

Nous sommes donc très satisfaits de cette location et nous la recommandons ; dans l' idéal , il est très bien pour 2 personnes

Apartamento en el centro histórico.

El apartamento se corresponde perfectamente con las fotos. Está limpio y en buen estado. Su localización es idónea para disfrutar del centro histórico de la ciudad de Sevilla. Tanto Fernando como Encarna, su hija, estuvieron muy atentos durante nuestra visita.
