Delightful break at Kemble Cottage
Couldn't fault the property , clean , cosy , well equipped , great location, quiet . We loved our stay here and would definitely come back. Owners extremely helpful & thoughtful, but Home & Aways website never worked and made the booking more complicated then needed to be.
Lovely cottage, nice owners, beautiful town and surroundings!
We stayed in Kemble cottage in the beginning of March 2019 and despite the rainy weather we really enjoyed our stay there. Due to a fault or delay in the Homeaway app we did not receive the entry code to enter the cottage. The owners were certainly not at fault, as we tried to use that app while contacting them, and it didn’t work either. The owners were very apologetic and helped us immediately and were very nice.
The cottage itself was very clean and tidy, a lot of the walls and doors may seem a bit older but that’s because they are, and the authenticity was one of the main reasons why we decided to rent this house. The pictures provided on the website are very accurate, in reality it looks exactly the same. In the living room we found a grey folder with lots of information on the house itself, the garbage disposal, many walks in the area, day trips and places to eat. The rooms upstairs were very nice as well, especially the larger bedroom with the four poster bed which is very romantic. The beds were comfortable as well, extra blankets were also provided. The shower confused us a bit on the first day, but we quickly managed to get it working, it is a different tap than what we are used to. If you get bored on a rainy day, you can watch television (both cable and Netflix) or play some boardgames or read one of the many books on the mantle piece.
The nearest pub is about 250m walking form the cottage, not very far at all. The walk back to the cottage is a bit of a steep hill, but quite manageable.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay in this authentic cottage run by very nice owners that has all the luxury you need in a beautiful town, what more could you want. All three of us recommend this cottage.
And, as I wrote in the guest book provided, our only ‘complaint’ was that we had to go home!
Great location and well equiped
We booked this to be close to Bath, which is easy to get to by train. The cottage was exactly what we wanted and Bradford is a good location for those wanted to explore further afield (Cheddar, Wells). It is on a hill, but that was not an issue and should be expected in this part of the world. Really enjoyed our stay - thanks
We had a great stay in this well equipped, tastefully decorated cottage The owners have added some lovely touches and it feels homely It’s location is great, just a short walk to the quaint town of Bradford on Avon. Thank you for our stay.

My sister and I spent 5 days at Kemble Cottage in Bradford-on-Avon. The cottage was just perfect. Tara was very helpful and responsive and we could not have dreamed of a more lovely home. We actually enjoyed the short walk up the hill after all the scones and clotted cream we devoured at the various coffee and tea rooms in town. A delightful holiday to remember.
Fantastic location, home from home, everything you need for a comfy holiday.
