A great week in the sun

  • 4 of 5

We found Villa Celest spacious and perfect for our family needs. It was in a good location with an easy walk into town 30 mins and the Euro Spar. We were greeted by Shelagh who was extremely helpful by pointing out all the good useful points to make our stay and shopping trips less expensive. My wife and son in law found the kitchen well equipped it has a beautiful very spacious fridge freezer with a separate wine cooler new washing machine , my wife and son love to cook and bbq so we had our meals in the villa and ate out some example,of our bbq cost was we bought 6 very thick steaks for 23 euros. each steak filled the plate we could nt finish them so cheap and very tender ,

There was ample choice for si tting inside or outside and up on the roof with its great view out to the sea and the golf course.

We had two of our grandchildren with us who were really looking forward to the pool but they were disappointed it was really cold for most of the day but did venture in for short periods in the late afternoon.the previous tennents left floats and lilos as did we.

The only critisism we have and have spoken to Shelagh about them was the coldness of the pool and the quality of the mattresses on the beds. We all found the beds really uncomfortable but we raised the issue with the owner and shelagh whom are going to sort that problem,.With a few tweeks this villa could be perfect. Having said that I would have no hesitation in recommending this villa to anyone thinking about staying there. We will certainly be looking to rent it for next year.

Beautiful villa in quiet location but near beach

  • 4 of 5

Myself, husband, three teenage daughters and 70 year old mother have just returned from a weeks stay at this villa. It is relatively new to the rental market and is in very good condition. It is spacious and light with plenty of space for a family of six with three generations travelling! It is situated in a residential part of a golf course and is in a lovely, quiet location. It is not overlooked (a little from the roof terrace but that is to be expected at that level) and feels private and peaceful. The pool is lovely, although cold at times! We all made good use of it though as well as finding places around it to relax with a book, either in the sun or the shade. There are good facilities in the kitchen and the tasteful living room is lovely and cool when it heats up outside. The largest of the four bedrooms has a good sized bed and an ensuite which was a treat.

We were met by the property manager on arrival who guided us to the villa and showed us around when we got there. The owner had been available to answer queries prior to travelling which was very helpful. Both of them recommended Fardo Steakhouse situated in the more touristy area of Caleta de Fuste towards on the way towards Peurto de Rosario. We ate there on our last night and it was lovely food.

We hired a car for our week's stay but it's not essential as the beach is either walkable or you can get a bus from the nearby golf hotel. It is also easy to get a taxi which we did on the last night and it was very cheap. As we had a car, we did drive both north and south to explore the island a little as it was our first time on any of the Canary Islands. We found a good restaurant by the beach for lunch in Carralejo and enjoyed the sea at Gran Tarrajal going south. Inland, we also enjoyed the mountain drive to Bettancuria which is a lovely village with nice coffee shops.

There are plenty of places to eat out although much of the food is quite basic but does the job and saves cooking. However, we found it easy to buy provisions at the nearby Atlantico shopping centre and cooked at home a few times, including a barbecue one night which was lovely and easy to use.

The location of the villa is great because it is away from the main touristy area but close enough that you can easily access the lovely beaches of Caleta de Fueste. We did also simply laze around the villa and make the most of the peace and quiet! It is only a short distance from the airport. We would recommend this villa to anyone.

5 Star Luxury Villa

  • 5 of 5

My girlfriend and I arrived here for a weeks stay at the end of January. It was a bit of an unknown for us as we usually book package holidays. Saving so much money with our flights alone we chose to get some posh accommodation. Now we knew that a 4 bedroom villa would be way to big for us but none the less we went for it and we did not regret it one bit.

We were met by the manager a lovely, pleasant lady who went to great lengths to sort any of our holiday worries. she was always at the end of the phone if we needed her.

Now on arrival at the villa, it is incredible, you walk in through the gate to be greeted by the beautiful blue pool with plenty space all around for sunbathing, if you need to escape from the heat there is also a sheltered ares to give you shade with a comfy couch.

Around the back there is a beautiful BBQ which we used twice on our stay. The Spar at the Atlantico has a great butchers section and charcoal. There is also a top veranda giving you a nice view over the golf course or for the hardcore sunbathers.

On entering the property, you are immediately met with the kitchen to the front of you and living room to the left. The kitchen is well.equipped from microwave to perculator, dishwasher to a fridge freezer that is absolutely enormous. (perfect for all your holiday cocktail drinks) We usually as a couple head out to local restaurants while on holiday but with the great kitchen, we ate in most nights cooking our own food. (dishwasher means no washing up either). We saved an absolute fortune. we reckon about 300 euros less than what we would usually spend.

The room we decided to use had a four poster bed in it, super king size and perfect for us both. This really sealed the deal on the accommodation for us. There are 3 other rooms, one with a double and two with a twin.

There is also a small conservatory area with a table which could easily seat 6 people. we had a romantic meal one night in there overlooking the pool. bliss.

It's location does mean you are away from the centre of town but a bus runs at 50 minutes past the hour between 9 and 6. A taxi is only 3/4 euros to the Atlantico. I usually gave 5 euros. The walk to the Atlantico on foot is about 30 mins. it's a flat easy walk.

Overall, this was fantastic value for money and I have already made enquiries for a longer visit next year.

Book this and you won't be dissappointed. Many thanks from Arron and Sharon.

Excellent villa in lovely location

  • 5 of 5

A well-equipped spacious and comfortable villa located in a very pleasant area. Only15 minutes walk to the beach, bars and supermarket. The Elba Palace Hotel is 5 minutes walk and is great for golf or a quiet drink on the veranda overlooking the golf course.

Our family all enjoyed staying at the villa, the pool is a good size and we made good use of the bbq. The manager went out of her way to make us all very welcome.
