Welcome to my home! I am delighted to open my home to explorers and travellers. This modern two bedroom apartment is the perfect base for your trip to London.
The flat is located about 5 minutes walk from Farringdon Station and 15 mins walk to King's Cross. The location is perfect if you want to access the "City of London", or want to explore the rest of London as you have access to 3 tube stations all close by. Buses from outside the flat will take you straight to Holborn and Piccadilly Circus in 15 mins.
The flat is modern, newly built and very bright thanks to the floor to ceiling windows spanning one wall of the living room. Enjoy the fabulous views across London from this top floor flat. There is a sofabed in the living room which is perfect for one adult or 2 children.
The flat has high quality fittings - a top of the range kitchen and bathroom making it quite a luxurious place to stay! There is an elevator to take you up to the flat so you won't be dragging your things up the stairs :)
Both bedrooms have comfortable real double beds and come with luxury linen. In the bathrooms you will find fluffy white towels, shampoo and shower gel. Ladies there is also an hair dryer for you!
The kitchen is fully equipped with all the mod cons you need including microwave, toaster, kettle, dishwasher and sufficient pans and pots if you want to cook a light meal.
The flat also has an iron, ironing board, washer/dryer. Baby cot and high chair can be provided upon request.
The entire apartment is available for my guests.
Interaction with guests
I will be using Hostmaker to look after my guests. Keys will be provided to you at the flat in person.
Farringdon is a vibrant neighbourhood in East/Central London. Close to the financial heart, Farringdon is also home for many creative and media businesses. It has lovely cafes and restaurants and easy access to the rest of London.
One of my favourite things to do here is to go to Exmouth Market - try London's favourite brunch at Caravan or sample Moro's moorish delights. Those with a sweet tooth, check out my favourite cupcake shop - Bea's of Bloomsbury. They do an excellent and cheap high tea every afternoon.
Make your way to Granary Square, located behind King's Cross station - this is a great new development where old warehouses have been lovingly restored. Check out the curry at Dishoom - be prepared for long lines as this place is having a moment just now. Granary Square is also a great place to bring your kids to.
Speaking of kids, British Museum is not far from the flat. Try Coram's Fields for their lovely playground and activities for kids.
Those looking for more touristic action, pop onto the tube at King's Cross and get to Waterloo in 15 mins for the London Eye and South Bank. You can walk along the Thames to Westminster for the Abbey, Parliament and Big Ben.
The closest tube station by foot is Farringdon (5 min walk) which has direct airport connections to London Gatwick (45 mins) and London Luton (30 mins) via the Thameslink overground train. It is also on the Metropolitan, Hammersmith & City and Circle underground lines to take you around Central London.
If you are coming from Heathrow, then take the Heathrow Express to Paddington station and then one of the Metropolitan, Hammersmith & City or Circle lines to Farringdon which is a short walk from the flat (45 mins total journey).
Kings Cross (15 min walk) gives you access to 6 tube lines here including the Northern, Piccadilly and Victoria lines to access the West End of London easily. The Eurostar international terminal is also at Kings Cross.
