About Mark Pollard
We have been renting holiday homes for many years and decided to get our own property to let out and enjoy ourselves when we can.
Mark Pollard purchased this Chalet in 2016
Why Mark Pollard chose Cromer
I first stayed at Kings Chalet Park in the 1970's when my parent brought us here for holidays every year. I have many happy memories of summer holidays in Cromer and I have never forgotten my time in here, a part of me always seems to draw me back, so when the opportunity to buy our own chalet here arose, it was a real nostalgic trip down memory lane. I can honestly say that little has changed, in a good way, Cromer still has the unspoilt charm, friendly atmosphere I remember and dare I say looks a lot smarter these days too!
What makes this Chalet unique
The big advantage is location, you can park up close to the chalet to unload all your stuff and then you needn't move the car again until you go home - this is a big advantage as renting somewhere without parking in a busy seaside resort can be frustrating (and having done it once ourselves, we would never rent anywhere without parking for that reason). The beach, town centre, pier and promenade are all in easy walking distance and it is a nice, interesting walk up Happy Valley and down the esplanade into town - with the sea and pier on your right as you walk down and take in the seascape. There are shops, cafes, bars, pubs, restaurants, cinema, theatre all in town - aside from the beach and a few amusements. We provide what we hope is nice, fresh, comfortable, well equipped accommodation with all of the above in easy reach. We take dogs, we know people come back from the beach all sandy - this is your home for a week and we want you to feel at home, so we try to make it your home from home. The chalet park is quiet and well maintained, for letting off steam there is a playing field adjacent with football goals, things to climb and woods to explore.

All you need to hand
Nice and clean modern in a lovely area 10 mins along coastal path to Cromer.
Cromer, the gem of the North Norfolk Coast is a traditional seaside resort. With its magnificent Victorian pier, complete with Pavillion Theatre and colourful beach huts overlooking Blue Flag sandy beaches as far as the eye can see, the scene is set for a perfect seaside holiday. Exploring the town and it's historic streets you will discover a mix of high street stores and independent shops, cafes, art galleries, fish and chips shops, pubs and restaurants for all tastes, which give the town it's charm and character. We love the way that you get glimpses of the sea as you walk around the town and look down a narrow street to see the seascape framed at the end. For our younger visitors, aside from the obligatory sandcastles and rock pooling on the beach, there are some traditional seaside entertainments on hand; a small funfair for a trip down the helter skelter and rides on the seafront, or try your skill (and luck) in the amusements. On the water, there is a traditional boating lake or try glide surfing with the glide surf school, for peace of mind the beaches are watched over by RLNI Lifeguards during the summer season. For golfers, Cromer is home to the Royal Cromer Golf Club, with it's cliff top course and superb club house, visiting players are welcome. Or simply park yourself in one of the seafront shelters and watch the world go by as the waves break on the beach. The Worlds' only remaining end of the pier show in the Pavillion Theatre produces 'The Summer Show' and is a must see, whilst for film lovers the Regal Movieplex cinema in the town centre has all the latest movies. The seafront, pier and town centre are all within easy walking distance of Chalet 77 which is a nice walk up Happy Valley and then along the Cliff Top Esplanade with superb views of the sea and pier on your right as you head towards the town. A perfect base to explore the North Norfolk Coast and it's diverse mix of coastal villages, bustling towns, bird reserves and marshes. Whilst you are here, why not give the car and driver a break too? Cromer is on the Bittern Line, a direct train service to the City of Norwich. The scenic journey from Cromer to Norwich passes through the Norfolk Broads at Salhouse, Hoveton and Wroxham, reaching Hoveton and Wroxham in around 30 minutes and Norwich in 45 minutes. The City of Norwich has everything you would imagine, Norwich Castle and Museum, the magnificent Cathedral or retail opportunities amongst interesting narrow streets like The Lanes or Elm Hill, a busy market, all the major high street stores, Jarrolds department store and the new Chapelfield shopping centre.
