About Caroline ROUGIE
My name is Caroline Rougié and I am a graduate of the L'École Hôtelière of Lausanne in Switzerland. I earned my stripes whilst working for several years within a luxury Parisien hotel. Today I am thrilled, alongside my assistant Marianne to be able to welcome an international clientele wishing to stay in this unique cottage.
Caroline ROUGIE purchased this Cottage in 1970
Why Caroline ROUGIE chose Calviac-en-Périgord
On the 1st of June 1970, my grand-father acquired the Presbytery at auction which included this property which was a complete ruin at the time. In 2010 I had this adorable cottage built, creating a homely place to stay in comfort with a modern twist. This is truly a wonderful location where you can relax and unwind whilst enjoying the stunning panoramic views of the French countryside.
What makes this Cottage unique
The idyllic countryside and traditional stone architecture is perfect for those in search of a tranquil and luxurious retreat in which to relax and enjoy the exceptional surrounding areas, bursting with natural, historic and cultural experiences.

Beautiful, serene setting - lovely hosts
The property on which La Maison de Jacquou sits is absolutely breathtaking, with incomparable views of the mountainside. La Maison de Jacquou is the perfect "condo" setting, with a living area and kitchenette on the first floor and bedroom/bathroom on the second floor. The house is kept clean and very nicely updated, and boasts a gorgeous view from the floor-to-ceiling window in the bedroom. The view from the grounds of the main house are equally stunning, with panoramic views of endless green. The property's chef - Sharon - is wonderful in terms of both her cooking skills and her hospitable, fun-loving personality. We would definitely recommend staying at La Maison de Jacquou - and make sure to request meal service by Sharon!
A private outside dining/seating area has recently been created and provides an excellent setting to enjoy a BBQ, incorporating stunning views of the beautiful French countryside.
