A fantastic converted barn with everything you need for an easy trip away.
We rented this lovely barn in Lymington for our 20th Wedding Anniversary and it was absolutely spot-on for a quiet and relaxing weekend away. The barn was prepared perfectly for our stay with the hosts leaving some treats for us on arrival, including a pint of milk and some Proseco!! It was spotlessly clean, carefully decorated and had everything we needed to feel very comfortable. I managed to cook a rissotto on the stove on the friday night, as the kitchen was kitted out with all the necessary utensils and a fridge to store your supplies. The bathroom was small, but perfectly formed and the shower always had hot water, warming us up after a day sea kayaking. If we had wanted to walk to the pub there was one a short distance away, but relaxing in the barn was just as nice, with a TV situated so it could be viewed from the sofa of when lying on the bed. Outside was a nice seating area and you could enjoy the site of horses in the small paddock and be awoken to the lovely sound of birdsong. The owners were on hand if needed, but equally we did not feel our comings and goings were being watched - they struck the right balance. I recommend this property whole heartedly, it just made our anniversary weekend perfect!
Comfort, peace and a warm welcome
An extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean home in an excellent location, ideal for short break exploring the Forest and coastline. Thank you for all the goodies you left for us, much appreciated. We hope to return!
Beautiful and Peaceful!
We stayed at Yaverland for 3 nights over the August bank holiday and cannot recommend this property enough! Located very close to the New Forest, this place is perfect for exploring. The barn itself is well decorated, modern and clean and the bed very comfortable!
Emma and Gavin were very friendly and welcoming hosts and the kindly supplied us with milk, coffee and tea, butter, crumpets and biscuits!
We came away feeling very relaxed and would definitely stay here again!
Thanks Emma and Gavin!
Comfortable, clean, well-equipped and within a short distance of some beautiful woodland walks.
The hosts are very friendly and accommodating and the pygmy goats and Shetland ponies make great neighbours! The chalet is compact and simple with all necessary cooking and showering facilities provided, including towels. Parking is provided just outside the door so unloading and packing up is easy. Tiptoe is just a few minutes' drive from New Milton and within easy reach of Barton-on-Sea, where a great breakfast is served at The Beachcomber Cafe. Milford-on-Sea is also close by and is a lovely setting for a walk overlooking The Needles off the Isle of Wight on a clear day. The Yaverland retreat at Tiptoe is a great base for exploring the New Forest.
