We stayed for two weeks and everything was wonderful. The location is fabulous — close to everything and on a very cute street. The views from the apartment and patio are amazing. Even better than the photos. The building is very quiet and secure. The furniture is very comfortable and we had all the supplies we needed. The main bedroom is really nice, and the second sleeping space is separate enough from the living/dining space. Maria was so helpful. She left us to ourselves, but was very responsive when we had a question. Parking is in a tight space, not appropriate for bigger cars. Over the years we have stayed in a lot of vacation rentals, and this will be remembered as one of our all time favorites. Perfect. Thank you!
Thank you for everything! It has been a pleasure to host you two at the apartment. I hope to see you again soon!
We have stayed in vacation rentals in many places, and this one is among our favorites. The photos do not do it justice. The apartment is in a beautifully converted building that must have been a palace once upon a time. Like many historical houses in Córdoba, this one has a massive, ancient wooden door, then another arched wrought iron gate, which in turn opens onto two spacious entry salons with art work, and a beautiful courtyard. When not mobbed by tourists, the wooden door is left open so passers by can look in and admire. There is an elevator, an added bonus, leading up to the second floor balcony/patio, then the entry to the apartment. The apartment is filled with light, and the living room window looks out on the bell tower. Since the building is in the midst of Old Town and the Jewish quarters, we had an easy walk to all the sights. Three steps lead from the living room to an alcove with a single bed, and eight steps down to a lovely bedroom and the bath. We also had our own very spacious balcony/patio filled with potted plants, a table for meals, and a comfortable sitting area. An extra bonus is that lighting is very good, with convenient outlets for charging devices. Maria is a wonderful hostess. She met us at the apartment and gave us maps with explanations regarding visiting the patios since we were there during the Fiesta de los Patios. She also helped us call a taxi for when we left. I would love to go back and stay again.p
Wonderful apartment in Córdoba
I can't say enough about this beautiful apartment (and apartment building) in the heart of the historic center of Córdoba. The top floor terrace rivals those of luxury resorts. The furnishings are comfortable (ahhh--the bed!) and all is clean and perfectly situated. The kitchen was well-stocked with coffee/tea/herbs/ etc. as was the linen closet with towels and bedding. We stayed for one week and truly felt as though we were in a resort. The location is perfect as well--walking distance to restaurants and sites. The fragrance of orange blossoms permeated everything! Maria was most accommodating upon our arrival and explained how to operate the various appliances. There is a lovely view from every window.
Bright, airy apartment with Mezquita views!
Host Maria Alonzo does a great job with this beautiful property! On the edge of the Jewish Quarter, adjacent the ancient city wall, this very quiet apartment had quick access to attractions, dining, and shopping. A small neighborhood market, outside the wall, was great for breakfast provisioning, but the kitchen is small and best used sparingly. Why cook? Delicious food all over town!
The private patio was so much bigger than I expected, and whenever the rain stopped, it was a great place to be. The bedroom had a most comfortable queen-sized bed, w/ nice linens, perfect for lazy mornings looking directly at the Bell Tower/Mineret of the famous Mezqueta! Isn’t that why you’re in Cordoba?
perfect apartment in stunning Cordoba
Idyllic little apartment in wonderful location with views over the marvellous Mesquita Cathedral.
Set in the lovely cobble streets of this very underrated city, and entered off the street through a beautiful entrance hallway and classic central patio typical of this town, you will not be disappointed by the clean and bright spaces and rooftop areas with excellent views. We had a problem with the central heating not providing hot water at first, but owner maria Alonso was quickly on the scene to fix it. She gave us a fine welcome and useful information about the place. This is someone who cares about the property and its guests. Cordoba itself is a superb place to visit in a great setting with simply marvellous buildings. The mosque come cathedral is unforgettable and will wow anyone who is lucky enough to visit, showing the splendour of Moorish architecture married with Christian design. Don't miss Cordoba.
I loved this place and Maria did some amazing things to make it very welcoming; coffee, tea, little snacks, etc. It was very clean and comfortable and is located in the middle of everything we wanted to see in Córdoba. It is very roomy and has a wonderful little patio for relaxing in the shadow of the Mezquita. And to think that this was once the palace of a Moorish Princess in the 11th century! Just.so.exotic! And the view of the Mezquita from the living room window is even cooler in real life than it is in the picture. All in all, a great place that clearly aims to make visitors to Córdoba happy and comfortable. Do not hesitate to book this! And a shout out to Isabel who checked us in. She was great! Informative, personable, friendly and welcoming.
Thanks a lot!
The house is in the Jewish Quarter, just a few minutes walk from the Mezquita, the Alcazar, the Synagogue and most of the major sights of Cordoba. Just steps have a neighborhood with all the amenities of the modern area of the city (supermarket, greengrocers, bakery, shops and all time).
