Beautiful House in Lovely Location
This holiday was a gift from my husband for my 70th birthday. On arrival (us and our 2 Rotties) were welcomed by Derek and shown around this beautiful spacious house which was warm as toast. A Cornish cream tea was waiting for us together with a welcome pack - much appreciated. The whole property is very well presented and furnished. The bed was extremely comfortable and we slept like tops. Tara Vale is a calm and quiet area and a short 10 minute walk to Crantock Bay and the village centre. The garden is delightful with different areas to sit and enjoy it.
Derek and Belinda have made every effort to ensure that their guests have an enjoyable and comfortable stay.
We would have no hesitation in recommending this brilliant property. Thank you for making my birthday great !
Spacious modern property in Crantock near Newquay.
We arrived on Jan.25th 2018 (staying for four nights) to a warm greeting from Derek the owner, who showed us around the property. It was nice to learn they were close in case we had any problems or questions. We were given a welcome pack including essentials of bread , butter ,jam, clotted cream ,milk and some delicious home made scones ,cooked by Belinda.Which was a lovely surprise. The house is furnished and decorated to a high standard .There is plenty of bakeware, cutlery, plates, cups and glasses. We were away with the family and took up all four bedrooms. They were all very clean and decorated in a modern style. The beds were very comfortable with really good mattresses. Beautifully clean bed linen and soft towels for the bathrooms.Plenty of walks for the dogs either at the beach in Crantock or around the corner at West Pentire. We all slept well, there is very little noise around and were gently awoken in the morning to the gentle mewing of cows in a field ,bliss.
We had a great time ,will definitely stay here again, thank you from Jackie & David .
House was spacious, decorated to a high standard and very well equipped, just right for our short break. If we had the time, we would have happily stayed longer. Nice touch to have the scones, milk, juice etc. waiting for us when we arrived. Dog towels were also provided which was typical of the thought that the owners had put into providing all you are likely to need at this property.
Although there were only two of us, (+ pooch), the house was plenty big enough for larger parties, with more than enough room in living areas as well as the bedrooms.
Weather in December '17 meant that we didn't take advantage of the wonderful garden, other than to put the dog out last thing at night.
Location is superb with both Crantock & Polly Joke beaches within a short walk, and the village pub only 10 minutes away.
Would certainly recommend.
Me and my family of 7 stayed here this October for a week, Belinda showed us round when we arrived and was so lovely and helpful, they were only next door so if we needed anything they was just a door down from us. The cottage was absolutely beautiful inside and out! It was very clean and spacious, the bedrooms were all lovely and comfortable and the garden was stunning. Would love to have stayed here in the summer and would have spent more time on the garden with the fire pit and bbqs. We all really enjoyed our holiday besides a few problems along the way with our transport braking down and my nan braking her foot we still managed to have a lovely time. Thank you so much to Belinda and Derek, we would definitely stay here again.
Lovely spacious house
This is one of the best holiday homes we have stayed in. It was clean and very well equipped, lovely and spacious with an enchanting garden which our dog loved to explore. We were made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble for the owners. We were welcomed with some lovely homemade scones along with other basic items eg: bread, milk etc. The furniture was all of a high standard and it was tastefully decorated throughout. It was in a good location in the village just a few minutes walk to the pubs and the local shop and a little further to the beautiful Crantock beach. I would recommend this holiday home without a doubt and would hope to return again next year!
Brilliant. Owners were lovely. Fantastic location, lovely modern house with lush garden, Crantock is stunning too! We used the cottage as a base to explore most of Cornwall over 10 days. We didnt want to leave!!!! Scones & Cornish treats on arrival were a lovely touch and our dog was made to feel right at home by Belinda when we arrived. We will most definitley stay next year!

The BBC’s description of Crantock: “This quaint hidden cove is the place to escape the rowdy hordes in nearby Newquay. Set at the bottom of a quintessentially English village with two charming pubs, you’ll find it by wandering through the National Trust car park. Scale the looming dune and you’ll be rewarded with a goose-pimple inducing view. To the right of the bay, the tidal River Gannel offers ferry runs from the beach to Fern Pit. Here you can order a cooked lobster, caught that morning, or opt for a stunning cliff top walk along the headland overlooking the bay”.
