Comfortable, simple, lovely hosts.

I was staying here for work, so not much holiday info. But the countryside here is so beautiful. The cottage was warm, the bed very comfortable, the mod cons new & working.

So all in all a good place to stay.

Nice but basic

The property is in need of an overhaul of the heating system as it is controlled from the building next door and was turned down when the next people moved in making it quite cold in our side. We had no electricity all day on Wed 17th May as the utility company were working on the line. If we hadn't relatives to go to we would not have had food or drink as it poured with rain all day making it difficult to get out. We would not stay there again as the road is so narrow and a bit hard on the nerves.

Owner's Response: We are really sorry you had a problem with the heating system. The owner has investigated this so that the heating now works as it should. It is unfortunate timing that the work on the line outside coincided with poor weather making it difficult to get out. Sadly we cannot do much when this type of work is undertaken although we accept it is always inconvenient when it happens. The property is along some beautiful and quiet rural lanes which some people will just love for the peace and tranquility it provides. There are frequently pheasants in the road which shows how rural it is. We would be delighted to help you with somewhere less rural next time.
