Beautiful old cottage
We really enjoyed our stay at Dove Cottage. It was very comfortable and was well equipped and in a lovely Cotswold village. The local pub was friendly and we enjoyed a great meal there.
Compact, clean and well stocked
A newish property with all parts working. Kitchen is well stocked for arrival incl milk and bottle of fizz. Had a slight issue with entry which got sorted on its own and owner came around next day which was very kind. Cute village with friendly locals at the local pub. Cottage has many levels and eaves so not for anyone with even minor mobility issues. Only blip was that ground floor had very cold stone floor but the moment you went upstairs it became too warm. Most windows cant be opened so it could get uncomfortable at night. This was a sunny May bank holiday weekend. Small garden but very well kept. Would recommend
""Character Cottages, as a marketing agency, does not look after or maintain any cottages. The following is written by the owner of Dove Cottage: "“Many thanks for your comments. I’m slightly puzzled however, as every window in the cottage does in fact open. We will try to make that more obvious for future guests. It was very hot that weekend, so the thermostat would have switched off the underfloor heating downstairs when you arrived, but the guest instructions do explain how to raise the temperature there further if you would like to.”"
