About the property

60m2 apartment with stunning views across the valley. It is situated in La Rosiere, a beautiful traditional family village with 160km of skiing slopes. The resort has direct access to Italy (La Thuile) on skis in winter and by car in summer.

The flat entrance is on the ground floor but the east/south facing balcony is on the second floor. The flat was refurbished in October 2016. It is a cosy and comfortable space ideal to unwind and relax.

- Bedroom 2: Big single bunk beds, double sofa bed, wardrobe, USB sockets

- L shape balcony where you can follow the sun from sunrise to sunset

Small ski locker located a floor below from the flat

Private parking in front of the building (50 euros refundable deposit for the gate key fob). Note that a space isn't guaranteed especially in February. Free public car park nearby.

Bed linen hire: Single 15 euros

Double: 20 euros

Cleaning: 50 euros

The slopes are 250m from the flat. We have a partnership with a nearby sports shop where you get a reduction on the price of ski rental and where you can leave them overnight.

Bakery, butcher, newspapers, chemist, supermarket, bars and restaurants are a few minutes walk away from the flat.

Closest airports: Geneva, Lyon and Grenoble

Closest train station: Bourg St Maurice

Bourg St maurice is 30 min away by car from La Rosiere - Busses in season - Taxis all year round

About The Owner

I am Celine and I have purchased this property with my husband and my brother. I am French but have been living in the UK for the past 25 years. When my parents passed away, I was very keen to purchase a property in France so my children could keep in touch with their roots. Being all avid skiers, the Alps were a natural choice. We have renovated the flat entirely in the summer/autaunm 2016.

Why The Owner chose La Rosière

Well...Once you have seen the view, you will understand! The location is also great, being minutes away from the shops and a short walk away from the slopes.

We have found the people at the resort to be very friendly. And being located only 30 min away from Bourg Saint Maurice makes it easy to access by train.

But what really attracted us to this place is the fact that in winter you can ski in Italy for lunch.

What makes this apartment unique

The views from the balcony. You can see the sun from the moment it rises to its setting. Each day offers a different show. The location of the flat is also very convenient to access all the resort facilities. The resort also offers interesting walks for the non skier even in the winter.

Stunning views, lovely decor, great location

We had a fantastic ski holiday with our 2 teenage children. Plenty of space for all in the property, really clean and well equipped and beautifully furnished. It’s a 5-10 min walk up the hill to the slopes in the morning but not too arduous. Would definitely recommend & will return to this apartment if we come back to La Rosiere again

Fabulous New Year Stay

We loved this apartment. Our party was made up our family - mum, dad and 3 daughters, 16, 19, 21 - and our eldest's boyfriend. We had the double room and the 4 young adults slept in the other room - bunks and double bed worked fine.

The very spacious living area, and sociable seating worked well for us. And the board games were appreciated when the weather was poor.

We self catered for most evenings and there was plenty of space for us all around the dining table. The apartment would benefit from having more saucepans, oven proof dishes, and crockery but we managed. Otherwise the kitchen is very nicely equipped.

The decor is tasteful and restful, and made a change from the usual 'Savoyard Style' of many apartments. And the view from the large corner window in the lounge is spectacular.

It has been very nicely refurbished, with a lot of thought put into the lighting and provision of hooks etc,. We hired bedding, and I appreciated that the owner arranges for her own bedding to be used so the colour scheme matches the decor.

Other suggestions we would make are wall mirrors in the bedrooms, and a bit more crockery - pasta plates, bigger tumblers and more mugs. And definitely more saucepans.

But other than challenge of cooking with limited saucepans, we loved our stay here. Would definitely recommend it.

Amazing views and comfortable accommodation.

Nicely redurbished, warm and comfortable rooms, albeit in an older building. The decor might be a little spartan for some but we really liked the uncluttered and clean feel to it. There is more than enough kitchen and utensils to cope with most culinary demands. The lifts are within reasonable walking distance but it takes some effort up hill in ski boots and not recommended unless you are reasonably fit. There is, however, a bus stop a few hundred metres downhill and the free buses run frequently (under 30mins approx). Put simply though, the view is worth the rental on its own! Recommended.

Perfect, stylish apartment with plenty of room for our family of 4. Both children were delighted to be able to have a top bunk each! Comfortable beds, big bath with lots of hot water, kitchen had everything you could need to cater for yourselves. And that view! Breathtaking. To be able to watch the sun rise whilst eating breakfast and the sun set while eating dinner is priceless.

Top tip - ski and boot storage is available at the Maison du Ski. Saves carrying them the short distance to the top!

Thank you for letting us stay in your gorgeous apartment. We will be back!

Superbe vue pour un appartement à la deco agréable avec tous les équipements nécessaires !

L’appartement est très agréable :

- rénové récemment, il a été redécoré avec goût ! (Ça change des appartements old school de la montagne)

- la vue est à couper le souffle (surtout quand on a de la chance niveau météo, ce qui a été notre cas)

- super rapport qualité / prix / localisation. Il faut remonter 5-10 minutes à pied pour atteindre le centre ville de la station et le pied des pistes. Ça se fait très bien, même avec du matériel à porter et des enfants ! Considérez que c’est votre échauffement avant de vous lancer sur les pistes !

Bref, je recommande vivement !!

bel appartement mais bruyant

un joli appartement décoré avec goût et assez spacieux. Rien ne manque. Par contre, nous avons eu des voisins très bruyant au dessus et nous entendions tous les bruits des personnes qui rentrent et sortent car l'entrée de l'immeuble donne directement sur la porte d'entrée de l'appartement.

La gardienne est très gentille et serviable, elle nous a aidé à démarrer notre voiture qui avec le froid était capricieuse.
