Penhallow is a pretty traditional quaint Cornish cob cottage within a conservation area in the centre of Crantock village. It is cosy and has a feel of sea side fun.
The cottage sleeps 4 adults and 1 child over 4 years (one king bed, 2 single beds and a child size bed). A cot and high chair available on request. Unfortunately dogs cannot be accommodated.
Downstairs: Lounge has TV with DVD player, Wi-Fi, dining room table seats 6, well equipped kitchen, bathroom has shower toilet and wash hand basin. Upstairs: 2 bedrooms 1 with king bed and the other has 2 single beds and a child size bed, toilet and wash hand basin. Some DVDs and indoor games. Gardens to front and back have seating areas, and the shed in the back garden contains small bbq and seaside equipment for guests use. Parking at rear.
Crantock village has great facilities, tea rooms serving home made food, 2 good family pubs, a very well stocked shop and gift shops. The beach, is a large sandy beach with extensive dunes, rock pools and caves to explore. The Gannel estuary provides child friendly swimming/playing, a good facility for other non motorized water sports. A surf school is located in the beach car park providing lessons and hire facilities.
Fern pit Shop with live crabs and lobsters is found across the Gannel via bridge or ferry dependent on the tide. The Cafe above with its amazing views of the beach serves the most excellent crab sandwiches and much more.
National Trust coastal paths are within easy reach, a walkers paradise. The village is in close proximity to the well know Fristral surfing beach, Newquay, Watergate Bay and other fabulous places to visit locally.
Local cove, Poly Joke is one of many lovely little coves within walking distance from the cottage along coastal paths
An excellent bus service close to hand
