About Rick Doughten
Rick and Wanda Doughten were both born and have lived in and loved Chester County all their lives. Married for 43 years, we have been blessed to call Groundhog College Road home for over 30 years. Recently we completed a wonderful Loft over our detached three car garage. We would like to share this elegant, romantic yet simple place with you.

Why Rick Doughten chose West Chester
After living just outside the borough of West Chester for a number of years we jumped at the chance to own this lovely property just a few miles from town by roads, yet light-years away in peace and solitude.
What makes this Apartment unique
Located on a quiet country back road it's hard to believe how close you will be to everything. The Loft is convenient to, shopping, garment and nature groceries, fine or causal dining. Yet the Loft is secluded, peaceful, simply elegant, romantic, and luxury in relaxing surroundings. Planning a winter stay? Take advantage of our optional indoor heated garage parking. Dry and 50 degrees, it has a door leading directly to the Loft stairs. Stay warm and dry while getting into your warm car - $20 / night additional.

Incredible loft surrounded by nature
The pictures Rick has for his loft drew my girlfriend and I to his place - they were INCREDIBLE. The moment you step foot into the loft is the moment you REALLY appreciate it for what it is.
The loft was clean, spacious, beautifully lit, newly furnished (and finished it appears), surrounded by nature, with a private outdoor balcony. The lofts amenities are enough to make you want to stay forever.
Kick back and relax in a loft fit with a bluetooth stereo, king sized bed, jacuzzi, his and her sinks, an incredible shower, and so much more.
We will definitely be back, thanks again Rick for being so accommodating and allowing us to stay at your beautiful loft.
Relaxing and rejuvinating
We couldn't have asked for a better getaway than this one! The loft is gorgeous, inviting and cozy, full of luxurious amenities. The surrounding nature is simply beautiful. Our weekend away from our three kids was peaceful and so good for the soul, exactly what we needed!
Beautiful nature retreat, bathed in sunlight, withlovely of the surrounding hills and woods
The loft owners are on-site in main house, adjacent to the loft. They are very responsive and generous in accommodating your needs. The loft is high quality with beautiful heated hardwood pine floors, a modern, well equipped kitchen, and beautiful bathroom with spacious shower. They provide lovely linens and soft, cozy bathrobes and throws. There is a bird feeder at tree level and so many varieties to watch. The deer at dusk were stunning. I highly recommend this place for retreat and renewal!
Fantastic Private Retreat!
We truly enjoyed this lovely loft, it was a home away from home with everything you would need. The space was super spacious, and super clean. It was quiet and relaxing, highly recommend if you are looking for peace and quiet! Loved the balcony overlooking the woods and a never ending stream of deer and birds of all sorts to look at. Thanks for a lovely time!
Thank you for your review! Wanda andI agree, the Loft is one amazing place. You two were the perfect guess. Neat quiet and respectful. Hope to have you back in the spring when everything is green, birds are singing and the baby deer stat to come out of the woods.
Amazing quiet romantic and private!
Perfect high class get away, we wish we could have stayed longer than just one weekend!
I loved my stay at the loft.
It was clean and cozy and loved the bird feeder in the deck. I would definitely recommend friends to stay at the loft. Rick and Wanda were amazing host.
