Great house for two families
We just got back from the Frio on Tuesday. We had a great time and Tom, the owner, was very responsive and helpful. He actually brought by two baby goats for our kids to play with. The house was great for two families and it was very easy to access to the water. This is a great place and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice relaxing vacation.
WHAT A PERFECT PLACE
This property is amazing. The house was EXTREMELY clean. I have stayed in many rentals and they never provide cleaning supplies. This place had everything we needed to cook and clean. The place was beautiful. Check in was super easy. I hope to go back soon. Highly recommend.
Not what it’s hyped up to be..
The home interior was very gross,grimey and dirty, I called the manager and he came and I showed him all of the switches and outlets that had caked on finger prints and grease and other peoples bacteria,the sheets and pillow cases had blood stains on them and looked so dirty and dingy,the top bunk beds even had some baby roaches under the sheets because I took every cover and pillow case and area rug and washed them all and we also vacuumed the carpets inside and swept the entire floor,this house had not been cleaned in I don't know how long. I wiped every handle and switch and knob and disinfected them,the manager said he called the cleaner but she couldn't come back and clean and do her job she should have in the first place because she was in San Antonio but I watched some lady watch me in her white suv get the key in the lockbox and go inside and that was maybe 20 mins before I called and showed the manager everything in the home,she wasn’t that far away. He also said the owner offered to refund our money but come on we live 3 hrs away and just drive and planned this trip and that’s all you offer or say to me,wow very disappointing. Then the ac didn't work right and then the manager and owner came and fixed it and still didn’t apologize for anything. I took pictures of everything and us cleaning this entire grimy house,the price is definitely not worth it. Then you have a new house being built and all the noise with it and you can see right into there back porch and onto the rental home also,the ad made it sound like it was by itself on 40 acres but it’s not private at all it has 2 houses on the left and the 2 cabins on the right. Then they have a fire pit and it had flags around it but we did not know we couldn't use it yet and why would the manager not tell us and then charge us a fee because of us using it,that makes no sense and especially for all of that inconvenience and cleaning the entire house and doing their wanna be cleaners job. Disappointed with the manager and the owner and the rental property. Too many other options out there and this ain’t our first rodeo. People need to be doing their jobs correctly and with quality and value and with morals and back up what you represent on the internet and the product your offering.
This gentleman rented the cabin for a weekend. He did call and complain shortly after arriving. The manager came right over and the complaints were a smudge on a light switch, a small moth in the kitchen sink, finger prints on the TV screen, bottle cap between the chair cushions, and upstairs two small dime size spots on a rug and a small stain on a decorative pillow. We did offer to refund his money and for him not stay there. We met his parents and family later and none of them had any complaints and thought that the place was lovely. The fire pit was being redone and was roped off because the cement was wet. This guest booked on Thursday evening so we were not expecting any guests for the weekend. They chose to ignore the cones and use the fire pit creating damage to the cement. We held $50.00 from his deposit to defray the costs of the repairs. The white car next door was the cabin's owner. We take all customer concerns seriously and address them immediately. We along with our cleaning crew take pride in providing a clean, safe and fun environment for groups or families which is represented by guests overall ranking of 4.9 out of 5 over the past 4 years.
