Welcome to The Ruffet, our light and bright contemporary semi-detached cottage nestling in idyllic South Gloucestershire countryside. Sleeping two + two, our lovely holiday home offers comfortable ground floor accommodation plus peace of mind when holidaying with those less mobile. Within easy reach of the historic cities of Bath and Bristol, our cottage is within convenient reach of both the M4 and M5 motorways, and just 4.5 miles from Bristol Parkway train station.

Once inside you will find a stylish and spacious open plan living space with Corian flooring and floor-to-ceiling windows. All the furnishings have been carefully chosen with your comfort and relaxation in mind; from the super king-size zip and link bed to the large walk-in shower, you can fully unwind before planning your days out. A further two guests can be accommodated on the sofa bed in the sitting area for an additional small fee. We can also provide a travel cot and highchair if you have a little one in tow, although cot linen is not provided. With WiFi, under floor heating throughout and driveway parking to the front, there is no need to miss out on home comforts while holidaying here!

The Ruffet enjoys the added bonus of being situated close to one of the region's premier golf clubs - The Kendleshire - an established and well-regarded golf course just a few minutes' walk from the cottage. Featuring 27 championship holes spread over 260-acres, the course has been voted a top 10 new course by 'Golf World'.

The two other properties on site can be booked with The Ruffet to accommodate up to 12 people. Cottages may be taken individually or in any combination.

Short and mid week breaks are available, with a minimum stay of two nights.

The acclaimed Kendleshire Golf Club is a stone’s throw from the property.

The Folly pub restaurant is less than a mile (16 minutes’ walk).

Within easy reach of the culture-rich cities of Bath and Bristol as well as the pretty unspoilt villages of Lacock and Castle Coombe, Badminton House, Westonbirt Arboretum and many National Trust properties.

Extremely well built fit for purpose accommodation

As above says this accommodation is built very well, not cheap thrown together accommodation. Everything you could possibly need is there in a very quiet private surrounding. We loved the furnishings and luxury style bedroom. Awesome place to stay

The Ruffet is a perfect base to explore this lovely part of the country. A short drive takes you to Dyrham Park offering 270 acres of ancient parkland, with breathtaking views, landscaped gardens, a beautiful 17th century mansion, tea room and historic herd of fallow deer.

Badminton House and Estate, home of the famous horse trials, is just a short drive away, as is the World Heritage city of Bath, with its stunning Georgian architecture and unique shops and restaurants. Bath's attractions include year round festivals and the world-famous Thermae Bath Spa, Britain's only natural spa where you can indulge yourself under a starlit sky.

The city of Bristol has a large number of museums featuring outstanding collections of art and archaeology, geology and natural history. Step on board the world's first great ocean liner, Brunel's SS Great Britain, in Bristol's historic Harbourside.

An easy drive takes you to the pretty unspoilt village of Castle Combe, well known for its car racing track, and the quaint National Trust village of Lacock, used in the filming of the BBC serial Cranford. Malmesbury, with its 12th century Benedictine Abbey, The Cotswold Water Park, Westonbirt Arboretum and the Forest of Dean all make alovely day out.
