Normandy is a beautiful region of France, easily accessible from the United Kingdom and yet a world away. It is a land of delightful scenery, friendly local people and of course delicious food and wine. The pace of life is slow, long leisurely lunches under a shady tree or in a little restaurant are an integral part of the day. The cheeses of the region are legendary and are named after many of our local towns Livarot, Pont L’Eveque. The village of Camembert is just 2 miles away. The North Coast with its golden sands and elegant seafront promenade is a pleasant drive away. Deauville, Treauville and Honfleur are about 60 km away on the coast and each one different yet amazing in its own right, with one a beach resort that hosts the famous film festival each September to another that has the most amazing fish restaurants to the stunning port of Honfleur, famed for its attraction to artists and despite its 80 galleries and 120 restaurants retains its olde world charm.
