This lovely, luxury apartment is less than a minute's walk from the beach and south coast boardwalk. There are sea views from both bedrooms and the balcony.
The apartment is open plan and sliding doors lead out onto the balcony where you can enjoy the sea breeze while you eat. There is an LED TV and Bluetooth speaker so you can create your mood with your music.
Both bedrooms have A/C and ceiling fans. There is plenty of closet space and high thread count linens. The master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom, Dishwasher, breakfast bar, swimming pool. Recently renovated throughout to a high standard with SMEG oven and built in hob.
It's very close to the shops, Tapas Restaurant and Blakey’s Bar. Accra Beach (the locals' favourite!) and the Garrison racetrack are just a few minutes walk away.
Very quiet, yet ideal for south coast and transport links to rest of island, hence no need for a car. Great location, fantastic place!
There is a fully equipped laundry room for washing, drying and ironing.
There is dual voltage 240v for UK or 110v local or US appliances
Both beach and bath towels are provided and there is a weekly maid service.
The location is excellent, you can walk to the Lanterns Mall, where there is a small supermarket, bank and boutique shops. Some of the islands top restaurants are on your doorstep, With numerous great cheaper option too.
Twice a week there is a farmers' market just opposite the apartment, where you can buy fruit, vegetables, jewellery and souvenirs. The location also has a large play area for children and a smoothie bar where you can sit and look out over the sea.
The apartment is 1 min from the boardwalk where people love to promenade in the evening. The boardwalk takes you to the popular Accra beach with quaint little huts where you can grab local Banks beer or enjoy a rum punch. Or just lie on a sunbed and enjoy the turquoise ocean. There is also a restaurant/bar on the beach so you don't have to go far for snacks. Opposite is a great ice cream parlour where you create your own combinations.
You don't need a car as buses pass every couple of minutes and a short ride will take you to Bridgetown for duty free shopping. Or a four minute ride can take you to the local Cruising Club where for $10 you can use all facilities for the day including kayaks,. There is Stand up Paddle and sail boats with instruction available on site too. The club has a great quiz on a Wednesday evening, open to all. Also great mellow music on a Sunday evening out on the balcony, with a perfect photo opportunity of the setting sun, whilst you sip your rum sour.

Cloud 9 was an awesome home to stay in!!
The breeze between the two windows really was my favorite part! I could easily walk to the ocean and hear it from the home! Close to restraunts, buses, ocean, boardwalk, and quiet condominium home area! Clean home!!! Thank you for providing me a safe place to stay!!!!
many thanks for the great review. We are so pleased you liked Cloud 9 and its breezes!
Please come again!
Great location and accomodations were wonderful.
The unit is spacious, and well equipped with all the essentials. We were able to walk the boardwalk to beautiful beaches, great restaurants, nearby shopping, and get public transportation easily. However, this is a new rental and a few kinks need to be worked out. There was no Wi-Fi, phone, or television available at the time. Part of the group was trying to run some business while on vacation. The nearby coffee shop was able to accommodate us during business hours. In addition, the owners daughter was gracious enough to bring us a dongle that we were able to use for a short period of time. She helped us arrange a great sailing trip and gave us great recommendations. Besides the frustration of no Wi-Fi, phone or television, we had a great experience at the condo and would recommend it to others!
Thanks for the honest review.
The WiFi was installed at the time of your stay, by the service provider had some issues with the fibre optics -- these were fixed after you left and now we have WiFi speeds at up to 50Mb(or that is what I am paying for at least).
The TV (LIME TV)and internet speeds are now great since we tested them. No issues with subsequent guests.
There is a local phone which works ( the phone was plugged into the incoorrect socket)
The South Coast is the oldest tourist location in Barbados and has the most accessible beaches. It has most of the nightlife - St Lawrence gap is only a mile away. Accra (or Rockley) Beach is a 10 minute walk away, along the South Coast Boardwalk which itself runs alongside a beach. The beaches in Barbados are white coral sand, great for body surfing and in the South the water is turquoise. Nearby is the historic Garrison, a UNESCO Heritage site. The Garrison is the horse racing track with a large open Savannah for jogging and walking which is surrounded by historic buildings including St Anne's Fort and the Main Guard. At 7 am every morning, the Main Guard Clock plays,"Morning has Broken". Its delightful! The apartment is very central and there are lots of eating options within minutes walk of the apartment as well as local shops. The buses run very close to the apartment. Buses are very cheap and frequent. The Government Owned buses are blue and the private ones, yellow. There are lots of private minibuses, known as ZR's(from the number plate). ZRs are a great experience but can be crowded. All buses and ZRs charge a standard fare of BDS$2(US$1) no matter how long the journey.
