Beautiful rural location
This villa is in a beautiful rural location but within walking distance to Pollensa Old Town. It takes about 15-20 minutes to get to the centre on a narrow, busy-ish country lane with no footpaths. Torch for walking back at night is essential as there are no street lighting. Also if you are afraid of dogs or don't like dogs, the country lane walk would be horrid as every villa/property on this lane that you walk past have vicious guard dogs that bark and run up to the fences. Beware also that they bark a lot on some days at people walking past, and the peace and quiet is somewhat disturbed as you can hear them barking from the Villa.
The Villa is surrounded by a large garden and looks amazing, feels very private as you cannot see easily the neighbouring villas. Plenty of sun beds. The majestic Puig De Maria with the Monastery on top is right in front of the Villa's view and looks marvellous. Table tennis was a big hit.
Inside, the villa is very spacious and plenty of room to sit and eat, with 2 different dining areas, plus the one in the patio.
The Villa is clean but quite old inside and various different areas could do with attention, bathroom and kitchen fixtures and fittings are old and falling off in places. The kitchen is poorly equipped if you like to do a lot of cooking, but brick built BBQ outside came in very useful. The bedrooms are good sized have good sized wardrobes to put away your things, plus drawers too. Although DVD player was there, there was no DVD's and there was only one English Channel on the TV: BBC World News. The WiFi is strictly for browsing only and you cannot watch videos/movies, there was plenty of English language novels to read though.
I have given this property a four star however, hugely because of the management lady by way of Josefa. She was lovely, answered the phone every time I rang, we had few issues that needed to be sorted. It was Easter weekend so was hard to get workmen and shops closed etc.. but she was very helpful. We needed some saucepans and her husband Bernardino drove all the way to Palma on Easter Monday as there were no shops open in Pollensa. He also gave us lots of tips on what wine to buy, which restaurants to eat in, all of which were spot on and we were very appreciative.
My family and I enjoyed this Villa and we would stay here again, especially with Josefa to sort issues if there are any more.
