Situated within 40 beautiful acres, the cottage is a warm, traditional, detached stone barn. Offering luxury, peace, tranquility and stunning views all around. The cottage is the sole holiday home on the estate, so you don't have to share the lovely gardens and grounds with anybody else!
There are many great features for everybody. Relax and unwind by the Willsworthy Brook in the secluded cottage gardens or enjoy some lovely walks and picnics around the grounds. There is your own stretch of the splendid River Tavy to enjoy (with single bank fishing rights included) and you can even take a dip in our rock pool, the perfect place to cool off on a hot summer’s day! Try your hand at Clay Pigeon shooting, which is available onsite or Falconry which can be arranged for you to experience within the grounds. In the evening enjoy the stunning views of Dartmoor and gorgeous sunsets from the courtyard seating area. The estate also has a stable yard and an infamous Shetland Pony named Jerry, who is perfect for younger guests to pat and groom. It may also be possible to arrange pony rides direct with the owner. Alternatively, you can explore the moors on horse back as there is a horse and pony trekking centre just five minutes drive away.
Nearby is the award winning market town of Tavistock with its famous market, shops, pubs and restaurants. The beaches on the south coasts of Devon and Cornwall are easily reached. Nearby attractions include National Trust properties such as, Lydford Gorge and Castle Drogo or visit Becky falls and historic Plymouth with its Hoe, Barbican and National Marine Aquarium.
The cottage sleeps six people and comprises of three large bedrooms, including an en-suite king-size master room and a large family bathroom. There is an open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area with a wood-burner and every modern facility you could wish for – from dishwasher to iPod docking station. Luxury bedding, soaps and fluffy towels are provided, as is free unlimited Wi-Fi.
Dogs- are welcome to stay in their own luxury heated kennels, with large indoor and outdoor runs, adjoining the cottage. You and your four legged friend can enjoy some lovely walks on Dartmoor or around the estate grounds. The cottage garden provides a safe and secure area for your dog to play in and having the kennels means that you can leave your dog if you don't want to take them with you all the time (most cottages will not let you leave your dog unattended) You can be rest assured that your pet will have a great holiday as well!
Dogs fees are charged per dog at £35.00 for up to 7 nights.
