About the property

Casa Olivia is situated in the quiet residential area of La Colina. The beautiful golf course of Caleta de Fuste is a stones throw away from this newly refurbished property. Ideal for families, couples and solo travellers alike, Casa Olivia offers rest and relaxation in a peaceful setting, whilst still being close enough to the town of Caleta to take advantage of the local bars, restaurants, shops, harbour and white sandy beaches. Casa Olivia is legally registered for tourism & prices include IGIC (Tax) .

Casa Olivia is the original show house of La Colina. A cosy and homely retreat that offers you peace and relaxation.The property overlooks the prestigious golf course of Caleta de Fuste and to the side the golf course of Las Salinas is also in view. The beautiful Atlantic ocean is a short walk away and can also be seen from this south facing property.

Casa Olivia has been recently updated and modernised to the highest level. The property benefits from a large open planned living and dining area with patio doors leading out onto the well maintained garden where Al fresco dining is a must. A modern kitchen and 3 beautifully furnished bedrooms with stunning views both front and back are at your disposal.


The lounge area offers two sofas, one three seater and one two seater as well as a comfortable rocking chair. Ceiling fan. Smoke alarm.

The property benefits from quality wooden furniture throughout helping to maintain the cosy home from home feel. The dining area contains an oak table that can seat up to 6 people. The table can be extended to provide extra dining space. The property offers continuous Wi-Fi connection at no extra cost. Internet TV is available through a Smart television and numerous channels can be accessed through the sky box to include many foreign channels, sports, movies etc.

A DVD player and numerous DVDs are at your disposal as well as a vast library of books.

The stylish music system situated on the ground floor is accessible through bluetooth using the available internet connection. A mobile device can also be connected through a cable (not supplied). A portable music system is available for those who are not quite so technically minded. CDs are available and must remain on the property. A selection of board games, cards, colouring books etc for family days at home and for the younger travellers are available.

A WC is situated on the ground floor where a large storage unit is available to hang garments.

The modern kitchen is larger than the usual kitchens of the same properties and is situated at the rear of the property. It offers everything you need to prepare a home cooked meal. The kitchen is well equipped to include a stainless steel oven, 4 ring ceramic hob with overhead extractor fan, washing machine, fridge freezer, kettle, toaster, iron and ironing board, drying rack, coffee machine, microwave, ceiling fan. Fire safety blanket and fire extinguisher.

A small grocery hamper is provided on arrival to welcome you to the property.

Third bedroom:

The ground floor bedroom is light and airy and is situated off the dining area. The bedroom contains two single beds, a large chest of drawers and hanging space is available, large mirror. Towels are provided.


The upstairs of the property offers two bedrooms and a family bathroom.

The Master bedroom is spacious whilst still maintaining the cosy and homely feel. The attractive wood furniture is of a high specification and includes bedside cabinets and a hand made chest of drawers. The integrated wardrobes include ample hanging space, shelves and further drawers. A full length mirror is in situ. Hair dryer. Ceiling fan. A personal safe is also available for use.

The Master bedroom opens out onto a fully tiled terrace area containing a wooden furniture set. Soak up the amazing views over La Colina and the golf courses of Caleta de Fuste. The town harbour can be seen and the local Canary island ferries are regularly spotted off the coast.

The second bedroom is located at the rear of the property. Containing stylish furniture and two single beds, the bedroom benefits from quality, bespoke furniture. Integrated wardrobes are available for extra hanging space. The bedroom has patio doors opening out onto the tiled terrace area containing a wooden dining set. The terrace looks out over the surrounding hills and rustic land of Fuerteventura. Ceiling fan. Additional free standing fan.

The fully tiled bathroom contains the usual facilities to include a bidet, bath, shower and a marble surround sink with large mirror.

Bathroom towels are provided for each bedroom.

Beach towels are provided for the sun longers.


The gardens are well maintained, offering a large, tiled patio area for outside dining. A 6 seater table and chairs are provided. A tiled walkway runs the length of the property allowing easy access in and out of the house and to an area solely for use of the large stone built barbecue.

Durable sythetic grass creates a safe play area for the younger family members. An ancient Olive tree helps to add to the homely and attractive ambience of Casa Olivia.

Sun loungers are available in the garden for soaking up the islands rays.

The large communal swimming pool is 50 meters from the property if you fancy a quick splash. (Due to occasional general maintenance, the swimming pool may close for short periods of time without prior notice). Opening hours are displayed on the entrance gate. A key card will be left at the property to access the swimming pool area.

The area surrounding the golf course is a popular location for home owners and holiday rentals alike. A 45 minute drive takes you to the sand dunes and bustling community of Corralejo and just over an hours drive will take you to the stunning white beaches of Jandia in the south of the island. The popular destination of Caleta de Fuste is right on your doorstep as are the beautiful golf courses if you fancy a quick game.

The local shopping centre of Atlantico is around a 20 minute walk and offers a large supermarket, clothing shops, bowling alley, arcade, restaurants, a movie theatre and a Casino. The nearest beach is 1 km from the house. Local buses run regularly from the shopping centre and will take you anywhere on the island. A tourist motor train runs from the Atlantico shopping centre. This will take you to the centre of the town for a small fee. Timetables are displayed in the waiting areas. Taxis are readily avaiable and cost around €5 to the town and €15 to the airport.

Ferries to Lanzarote run regularly throughout the day and are available to local residents and tourists alike. The same applies to Los Lobos. Why not pop over for a day!

Renting a car for the duration of your stay is highly recommended.

A travel cot and high chair are available upon request.

The water on Fuerteventura is desalinated and it is always recommended to drink bottled water unless boiled first.

The town of Caleta de Fuste is located around a 10minute drive from the airport. It is therefore possible to see planes over the town.

We respectfully ask that smoking is limited to the external areas of the property ( this also includes electronic cigarettes). All cigarettes/ cigars/ pipes etc are to be extinguished in the provided ash trays and disposed of in the correct manner.

We hope you enjoy your holiday on Fuerteventura and in particular your stay in Casa Olivia. We politely ask that you vacate the property by 11:00am on the day of departure and we would appreciate the property being left in the same condition as it was found to ensure a quick turn around.

Late departures can be arranged with prior notice.

About Antonia

We moved to Fuerteventura 11 years ago. The island offered the peace and tranquility that we searched for.

Since moving to the island we have become involved with the local animal protectoras and I now help to rehabilitate and rehome unwanted and abandoned cats and dogs.

A time consuming but very rewarding job.

In our spare time we like to explore the island and search out the hidden treasures of Fuerteventura.

Casa Olivia is a private house. Unlike many other properties on La Colina, the house is not overlooked from the front or the back. Once in the garden, the house becomes your very own home from home. A lovely view both from the front and the back sets Casa Olivia apart from others in the same area.

Fantastic villa

We had a brilliant holiday and loved this villa. It was spacious and very homely. The kitchen was well

Equipped and the welcome hamper when we arrived was a lovely touch. The outside space was great too and we made good use of the barbecue and eating area. Antonia was very helpful and easily contactable for any queries if needed.

The communal pool area is a short walk away and having two young boys we used this a lot. There were plenty of sunbeds and space around the pool and you could go down at any time and get a space. It was a good size main pool with baby pool too. The walk to the beach was about 20minutes and we walked along the main road into Caletta and had some lovely meals. We tended to get a taxi home as they were not expensive.

We would love to return to casa Olivia again and would highly recommend! Thank you Antonia and family for having us!

Lovely comfortable villa

This was not our first visit to Calle de Fuste but was the first time we had stayed at Villa Olivia and we were not disappointed. Beautifully decorated and furnished to a very high standard it has to be one of the nicest villas we have stayed in . Antonia was very welcoming on our arrival and kept in touch throughout the week . There was everything you could possibly need from the kitchen equipment to beach towels and all the extra little goodies that Antonia had left like water and milk oh and not forgetting the chocolates! All in all a great place to stay , we would definitely recommend Villa Olivia.

Superb Accommodation - spacious and well presented

We had a really lovely stay at Casa Olivia. Antonia met us at the Villa and showed us everything that the Villa had to offer. There was absolutely everything that is needed for a holiday, be it a short stay or indeed any length. Really spacious home. We had 3 adults and 2 children and there was plenty of room for all 5 of us.

Situated in a quiet area, with views of the sea and golf course to the front, and hills at the rear. Front and back balconies gave a good all-round view of the area. The pool is a very short walk away (1-2 minutes) and has plenty of good quality sunbeds. Large pool about 4 to 4.5 feet deep, and a separate baby pool.

The walk to Atlantico Shopping Centre is approx 15-20 minutes downhill. Not sure how long it is walking to Calete De Fuste as we took a taxi there and back each time (about 4-5 euros). Atlantico is around 4 Euros a journey

Atlantico beach is simply superb and far better than Calete de Fuste's offering. Very safe lagoon area that shelters the beach from any larger waves, with plenty of small fish to keep the kids amused. Sunbeds are 3.5 euros each and the same for a brolly/shade. Lovely golden sand. Atlantico Centre has a large Spar with everything that you need at reasonable prices.

The restaurants at Atlantico are okay but probably above-average - we tended to go to Calete de Fuste for our meals. First night we tried Wild West as it was busy and looked was okay but nothing special (burgers were basic!). Lins Bar/restaurant has decent priced meals and a good variety - excellent quality and service too, so we ate there twice! We tried to eat at Frado's but it was fully booked with a big queue each time we went there, however the "sister" restaurant across the road on the corner served excellent fayre. Try the fillet steak on Lava stone - lovely and juicy! We have friends that have a villa there and travel there regularly. They recommend "15" restaurant and also "555" and Frados but they also said that there are a lot of other good eateries as well

Finally, Antonia and her son, Aston, did everything they could to ensure our stay was fantastic. It is a great base to explore the island. If I come back to Calete de Fuste I will certainly try and book this lovely villa again

A relaxing time in a beautiful house!

We had an amazing two weeks at Casa Olivia this August! Antonia and Graham were lovely hosts. Very welcoming and left us a much appreciated hamper of goodies on our first night and brought us eggs from their farm mid stay, which our little girls were very excited about. The house is a 'home from home', perfect for a relaxing holiday with everything you could need (including sky sports which my husband was very happy about!) Our 5 and 2 year old girls had lots of fun in the spacious and secure garden. We made good use of the BBQ and sun loungers too.

We spent most of time at the nearby pool, which also had a kids' pool which was perfect for our 2 year old. The beach, supermarket, bars and restaurants are about a 15 minute walk away, with the lovely marina a further short stroll along the promenade. You can booked excursions in the shopping centre and at the marina and you can arrange pick up

from the Elba golf hotel which is about a 5 minute walk from the house. Thanks again for a great holiday, we may well be back one day! The Nicholls

Lovely House

We had a lovely stay at Antonias property in La Colina. It's well placed for Caleta (there is a bit of a hill down to the main shopping center but taxis are very cheap). House had everything we needed and Antonia was very easy to deal with, replying to questions very promptly. Fresh eggs on our arrival and a welcome pack was very well received x

Offered everything we required.

We had never been to Fuerteventura before but are so pleased that we did. The island was lovely and the property and the location was ideal for us. Very well cared for and maintained. The owner was very kind and accomodating and we even had a small hamper of goodies when we arrived. Mid stay and the owner passed by with fresh free range eggs from their private farm. What more can I say!

The house had everything we required and we will definately return.

The bay of Caleta de Fuste offers a lovely sandy beach. Great for sunbathing and swimming. The shallow waters are good for the little ones. A walk way runs the entire length from the beautiful and recently updated harbour to the next village of Nuevo Horizonte or the other way heading towards Las Salinas.

A trip on the local catamaran is a must. This takes you on a journey to the small fishing village of Pozo Negro. Food and drinks are included.

Trike tours, buggy tours and quad tours are also available. Each tour will show you the Interior of the island and take you to places you would not normally see. Horse excursions are also available inland. Regular fishing trips run from the harbour and further information can be found in the town.
