enjoyable stay- delightful entrance, plants, bright and inviting
The whole cottage felt warm and inviting, everywhere was clean and owners must have taken a great deal of time and care choosing the decor and furnishings. The grand piano was a lovely touch and our grandson when he called loved playing us a tune. I have made just a few helpful suggestions to the owners, ie a shower and an additional wc would be the icing on the cake. Will certainly book again. Krystyna Martin
The property is pretty much were the sat nav takes you just on market street
you can park at the bottom of the road if space or further up the road and the old stables is behind a big grey gate go down past a few other houses tucked away at the end.

We loved it!
We did enjoyed our time at The Old Stables. Everything was perfect despite the fact that we been snowed in, WE HAD A GREAT TIME! The Piano and the Jacuzzi was a real touch to our holiday. A Big Thank You to Steve that he offer us extra 3 nights complimentary to stay until we could savely drive back home. We highly recommend and definitely we will come back in the summertime!
Peaceful. We enjoyed a wander to the health food shop, gift & charity shops. Friendly folk too :)
The Old Stables is beautiful. We enjoyed the log burner and my daughter enjoyed playing the piano. We were delighted by the orange tree in the entrance hall. Then the Christmas tree!
This very comfortable and homely cottage was warm. It has great bed linen and everything is spotlessly clean. The welcome basket was received with thanks. The ambience in the whole cottage is a delight. Thank you for helping to make our winter break a very memorable one. Loved it!
Lovely cottage very welcoming fantastic walks over the moor . Definitely will be back early 2018
Cosy, comfortable and peaceful
We had a wonderful holiday staying at the Old Stables. The house was well equipped with everything we needed, we were greeted by a tasty basket of goodies and the children appreciated the Sky TV and WiFi. Beds were comfy, towels provided, and the house was at the end of a quiet little row of cottages within a stables courtyard. There is a Co-Op within easy walking distance so provisions were easy too. We also walked to the Abbey one day. Lots of nice walks nearby, and the wonderful otter sanctuary! Recommended, thank you Steve.
