Although our 'minimum stay' is set to 7 days on this site - we will, wherever possible, accept shorter breaks and can also be flexible on start dates. So do please contact us if you'd like to stay but cannot see what you are looking for on here. We will try and help wherever possible!
Beautiful detached grade II listed cottage set in very private mature gardens, including a well stocked orchard, formal herb garden & paddock.
The cottage dates back to 1780 but has been comprehensively refurbished. There is a large boot room come laundry room with original stone flagged floor - plenty of space for muddy wellies after your long country walks.
This leads through to a large kitchen - complete with wood burning stove, a long oak farmhouse table & solid quartz worktops. The kitchen has been well stocked with beautiful vintage plates, but boasts all mod cons, including 2 fridges, a freezer & dishwasher.
There is a downstairs loo with wood panelling saved during the refurb off the front hall way.
The sitting room has a gorgeous open fire which, in the winter months, will be laid ready to light. And plenty of comfy seating for 8 guests.
Upstairs the master bedroom also boasts its own open coal fire (please request that you would like this laid when booking - an extra charge may apply). The ensuite is tiled in beautiful Italian marble, has a large shower over the bath and is finished to a very high standard.
The kingsize bed was made right here in Yorkshire & we are sure you will have the best nights sleep with proper down duvet & pillows and Egyptian cotton bed linen.
There is a further large kingside bedroom at the front of the cottage which has lovely views over the fields beyond.
At the back of the cottage there is a twin room, again with super comfy beds & hand finished blinds. The main bathroom is next to this bedroom with a separate walk in shower, lovely double ended bath and designer tiles.
Up into the loft the space has opened out to create a truly unique space with another stunning bathroom & far reaching views over the orchard to Emely moor mast. There are 2 low twin beds. The head height is limited up here due to the low beams. Probably not suitable for anyone over 5ft 7! Watch your head!
The ground of Butts Farm have also been sympathetically renovated. The formal herb garden planted by the previous owner has been re dug and gravelled. The orchard provides a stunning array of fruit including eating and cooking apples, 3 variety of plums, greengages, damsons and walnuts.
There is also a paddock which can be used for grazing should guests which to holiday with their horse or ponies. There is sufficient parking for a trailer or wagon & we have some brilliant farm rides locally. Please do ask for details.
Renovating the cottage has been a huge project for us but we are immensely proud of the end result. This is not your average holiday cottage. The finish is to an extremely high standard & we are sure you will be totally charmed by both the house and it's setting.
We are very per friendly at Butts Farm and will accept 2 dogs no problem. If you'd like to book with more dogs just get in touch as we don't have a fixed upper limit but the number would need to be ok'd before booking.
We ask that dogs are kept off the furniture and if they are allowed upstairs into the bedrooms that they don't sleep in / on the beds. The std charge is £10 per dog.
