2 Stunning modern apartments located in the same village with spectacular views, just minutes from the beach! Located in the peaceful village of Promajna, situated in the stunning Makarska Riviera region of Croatia's Dalmatian Coast. Promajna is 10 minutes away from Makarska and nestles at the foot of the spectacular Mount Biokovo, the highest mountain in the Mediterranean. Promajna is ideally situated for visiting many local attractions and ferries to the two nearest Islands of Brac and Hvar are easily available from Makarska. Stunning sea views including the islands of Brac and Hvar and also Mount Biokovo. The surrounding area comprises olive groves and pine woods which stretch down to the waters edge where the clearest waters in the Adriatic gently lap against the crescent shaped beach. Everything you need for your stay can be found on the beach front, which is only a short walk from the apartments; a small supermarket, post office, fruit and vegetable stalls and local bakers.
Lisa and Roger bought the 2 apartments back in 2008 when they were first built. They live in London with their 3 children and have been coming back twice a year for holidays since 2008. They both have busy jobs, Lisa is a Finance Director and Roger is a Technology Director, so make use of the apartments to unwind with the family.

In 2008 we came to Croatia on holidays and visited different places along the coast from Split to Dubrovnik. We fell in love with the Makarska Rivera - we thought it was one of the most beautiful coastlines we had seen in Europe. We discovered Promajana, a quiet fishing village in a great location, only a few minutes from Makarska, with its extensive shops ad restaurants, and decided to buy a place so we could come back. We all still love the place - it hasn't changed much over the last few years, and still retains its simplicity and charm. Its like a second home for the children!!
We love the fact that Promajna is great kid-friendly village. We can walk down to the beach, buy some fruit, pastries etc for breakfast from the stalls by the beach and have lunch at one of the beachside restaurannts. We have 3 kids under 10, but we can let them wander off on their own to get an ice-cream of go on the beach trampolines. We can stay in Promajna all week if we are feeling lazy, or drive to one of the many beautiful beaches and towns nearby if more adventurous.
We never thought it would be so beautiful. We looked at the pictures which weren't bad but in reality it is much much better .. and for the price almost unbelievable. Initially we had been fearful but we went ahead with the booking, because we were so convinced by the owner :). The apartment is actually for 6 people but we requested if 8 could stay. We had to take a big mattress and they supplied the bedding. All our hopes were met, and Pero the agent met us as expected ;) The area is nice (fairly quiet, yet everything that you need) the perfect beach. There was sometimes problems with the water, but this was fixed quickly by Pero. All was clean and new. Good weather and washing machine. All electronic devices were also new and good (toaster, kettle, oven, stove, refrigerator).
It is not only 100m from the beach but more like 400m. But this was no problem e.g (5min walk). I can recommend a trip with vibe;) (one full day boat trip with offers to eat (there's plenty of free wine +)).
Airy spacious apartment balcony with stunning views over the sea . 5 minutes walk to the beach and restaurants . Had a great time highly recommend
Just returned from an absolutely wonderful holiday. We flew to Split airport and hired a car for the week. It took us about an hour although we didn't take the motorway route so it may be shorter. Nevertheless, it's a straight route down the coast. Promanja is clearly marked, so no problems getting there. The apartment was ideal for the 6 of us (2 adults,2 nearly adults,2 kids).Spacious, bright, clean, well furnished, very well maintained, secure.Brilliant! The kids slept on the sofa bed, which even when left out didn't cramp the living space.Thoughtful touches like plastic beakers, plates and bowls in addition to the good stuff(great for kids);good supply of linen, towels and teatowels;washing line and pegs..Large balcony with view over the village (pantiled roofs and church) to sea and islands.Parking space. When I needed to ask for further information, the owner was quick to respond and very helpful. We were late in arriving as our flight was delayed. We had problems with our phones (despite the mobile company saying we could make calls..so I'd advise a double check on this) but eventually got through to Pero who met up with us at the apartment. He took us through all we needed to know, friendly and helpful. The village is a small resort..good facilities..supermarket,fruit/veg stalls, bakery, a few touristy stalls/shops, handful of restaurants and bars (good food throughout),cash machine, tourist information (bookings for trips etc.)There are also some activities for kids..trampolines,small amusements (airhockey, pool tables) bouncy castle, but they are fairly low key (which was just right for us).The beach is beautiful and clean, despite it being the peak season and crowded. No jellyfish (yay!)Takes about 5-10 minutes walk to the main beach (uphill on way back but that's why you have a view), although there is a lovely coastal path taking you around less crowded coves within 20 minutes walk.Toilets and showers at the beach and along the path.Array of activities (recommend parasailing). For sightseeing, take a boat trip from the jetty to Hvar and Brac,Makarska itself especially in evening,Trogir is beautiful (park outside the town and 10 minute walk in),Salona for Roman ruins and what has to be the most idyllic picnic spot ever. The mountains are spectacular, just the view from the beach was amazing. We didn't manage a trip into the Biokovo park (not too confident with the 9seater!) but we did walk around the fringes..beautiful.Book it!

The Makarska Riviera on the Dalmaltian coast. The stretch of coast line that meanders down from Split becomes more and more beautiful as you approach Makarska and its surrounding sea side villages. The sea is strikingly azure and you can see tempting beaches as you drive along the coast road! The little towns and villages dotted along the sea edge provide lovely places to wander around and there are restaurants and marinas, not to mention stunning views out to the islands of Brac and Hvar to mesmerise you. In the other direction, you'll be impressed by Mount Biokovo. Just 50 minutes from split airport, this is an easy piece of paradise to get to!
