A cosy two bedroom coastal cottage with one en-suite and a separate shower room
About Andrea Bryson
I grew up in a village to the North of Newcastle and moved to Prudhoe, Northumberland with my husband around 14 years ago. Having worked as an accountant for a number of years, I decided to leave work and go to university where I graduated with a Biology Degree. After university, I worked with a large pharmaceutical company for a few years then made the decision to leave and start up a holiday let business in Warkworth.
Andrea Bryson purchased this Cottage in 2016
Why Andrea Bryson chose Morpeth
Having spent a long weekend in Warkworth village, we fell in love with the village and surrounding area and the local people are so friendly and accommodating. We bought a second home at in Warkworth, which is 1 mile outside of Warkworth, with the intention of running a holiday let business then. We loved the house so much, we decided we wanted to make the place our home. We have now settled into our new home and have bought 1 and 2 Field View cottages to run as holiday let accommodation.
What makes this Cottage unique
The Northfield Farm properties were originally a farm with stone outbuildings and these were renovated for use as furnished holiday lets. Some of these properties are now residential and there are 3 holiday let properties on the site. The properties are located 300 yards from Killiecrankie beach and have fantastic views of the sea and Alnmouth village. They are surrounded by arable land giving a changeable landscape throughout the year as well as providing a sanctuary for birds and wildlife to thrive.

Excellent holiday property in a fabulous location
Had a great holiday in this lovely cottage. Everything was new, clean and very good quality, and it felt very homely. Everything we needed was provided ... including wine, scones and cookies. Andrea (the owner) was very helpful and lives just nearby. We didn't have dog, but it seemed ideal for anyone with a dog.
A beautiful location with the back garden overlooking wheat fields. A 5 minute walk through fields to an almost-deserted sandy beach.
We would highly recommend this holiday home.
Field view cottage.
Amazing cottage in great location. We walked to the beach every day and enjoyed cycle path to Warkworth and Alnmouth.
My third visit in just over a year and all ready booked for next year! Cottage beautiful;perfect situation and an amazing welcome pack for humans and dogs. (Northumberland is home for me and staying at Field Cottage is worth the 8+ hours travel time) Thank you Andrea
very good indeed
very good indeed
A perfect cottage on the Northumberland coast. We will be returning here in the future.
Northumberland has miles of unspoilt beaches along its coastline, making it a perfect place to relax and Warkworth is a perfect base for visiting the many local attractions.
Along the miles of dramatic coastline, there are a number of castles located close to beach and sit alongside quaint and pretty villages. Warkworth Castle, Dunstanburgh Castle, Bamburgh Castle and Alnwick Castle (where the Harry Potter movies were filmed) have long and interesting histories and provide a perfect day out for both adults and children. The Alnwick Gardens are also worth a visit, where you can have a guided tour around the poison garden, walk around gardens and see the splendour of the waterfall. Alnwick town is a traditional market town where you can do a spot of shopping and there are a number of pubs, restaurants and cafes for a spot of lunch. There is also a playhouse and museum which are located only a short walk from Alnwick Castle and the town centre. There are a number of supermarkets and just outside of the town centre and leisure centre.
There are also a number of links golf courses along the coastline from Warkworth to Berwick.
Further afield, you can reach Edinburgh to the South and Newcastle and Durham to the North local Alnmouth train station at Hipsburn. If travelling by car, you can also visit the Angel of the North and the Metro Centre for some retail therapy.
