Everything was lovely, we had such a relaxing time. The pool was wonderful. The kitchen had everything you needed. What a welcome pack we had. The owners were lovely and very generous. A superb holiday! Thank You
Excellent property in a peaceful and tranquilk location!
The property is very well maintained and provides all the amenities required for a peaceful relaxing holiday, although it is only 30 minutes or so away from the more commercial areas within this part of Cyprus. The owners could not be more welcoming and accommodating to all your needs. There are very few things that we would alter to improve the experience, so it does feel a little like nit picking to point out that some of the bedding needs sprucing up and the directions to the property caused up some issues. All in all though, bearing in mind that we went during the school holidays, this was an excellent value for money property, to which we will certainly return, if we return to this part of Cyprus.
Absolute Peace, Peace, Endless View & Happiness
★ ★ ★ ★ ☆
At an altitude of 700 meters, the very small village of Phyti offers the ultimate tranquility. The villa is truly isolated (from neighbors and the slightest noise), has a seamless view of the plain that extends right below and all day you hear the rustle of the leaves, the birds and the nature to nudge you. Beautiful home that has it all, practical and spacious, lovely paved courtyard, huge pool with ideal depth for swimming, zero humidity and no mosquitoes. Christine was extremely cooperative in all our questions and the owners (whom we met) were incredibly friendly and generous. The surrounding villages (Polemi for shopping, Kallepia for brunch, Kathikas for food) offer the absolute summer mountain vacation. The only disadvantages of the house: 1. The lack of water pressure, especially in the upper bathroom, 2. The lack of adequate shade on the pool terrace, where after sunshine 14: 30-15: 00 it is difficult to protect yourself if you avoid exposure to the sun, and 3. The lack of low but good lighting around the pool which, if any, would make the evenings even more unique. Small sunburners are not enough, and if there were gardening turtles, it would be even more wonderful. Overall, we spent our Best Vacations in Cyprus for 8 years! Thanks and very likely we will come back.
Thank you so much for your lovely Review of our 3 Bedroom Villa at Phyti! So pleased that you had a wonderful relaxed Holiday in the beautiful village of Phyti and surrounding visiting areas. Only 15 minute drive to Polis/Latchi for lovely sandy beaches, snorkelling, water sports too.
Hospitality in the village is great too they love to meet new people on Holiday!
Look forward to hearing from you again when you decide to come back to Cyprus!
We have noted a few of your comments and will pass to the Owners to rectify.
g Good to be back
After a terrible year we couldn't wait to get back to Eleni for guaranteed R&R and sure enough after 2 weeks we felt a whole lot better. The Manager Christine and the owners Kostas and Skevi were aware of the problems we had endured during the previous year and went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. They were so kind. The Villa is totally private should you want that 'all over tan' and so peaceful. Only sounds to be heard were wildlife and the odd farmer going about his work. However should you need a day on the beach both Polis and Paphos are within 20 minutes drive as are the Supermarkets. I have to say the welcome pack was so good we knew we could hop off the plane and head straight up to the pool leaving the supermarket shopping for a day or two. Another bonus is the free AC which we used only in the bedroom.
Phyti is completely untouched by tourism however the locals all speak English and there are a couple of excellent Tavernas serving beautiful Cypriot food. Kostas and Skevi come to tend the pool and garden twice a week after 5pm, so quality sunbathing time is undisturbed. They are lovely folk and will chat away quite happily. We were told to help ourselves to the fruit growing in abundance in the garden and we did. It was delicious!
Missing it terribly now we are back home and will definitely return next year.
Another Great Stay
This was the second year we have stayed at the Villa Elleni. As ever it was wonderful, right from the booking and payment, which was easy, through the stay which was wonderful.
The villa is great if you are looking for a get away from it all stay. It is up in the hills, but still close enough to Polis and Paphos to make them easily accessable. The villa itself has 3 good bedrooms and fantastic pool with a great view.
As we were staying a little later in the year this time we even got to use the open fire place in the evening which was a great experience.
I really don't want to many people to know about this place, as it makes it more difficult for us to book in ourselves.
Thanks Christine and Costas, a great stay.
Neil Morgan and family.
relax and unwind from the stresses of life
Christine from st pauls travel recommended this villa and I have to say it was perfect for us. It was located in a secluded position on the outskirts of the small village of Phyti. The views were amazing, the weather beautiful - lovely and hot with a nice breeze to cool you down. The pool was also great to cool you down and for gentle exercise! The villa had everything you could possibly need and more and Costas the owner was very helpful and friendly. He patiently answered any questions we had and grows lovely fruit and makes the most delicious wine! The people in the village were friendly and there is a charming museum where the owners take you on a tour explaining the history of and demonstrating traditional Cypriot weaving and Cypriot life.
We stocked up with produce from one of the large supermarkets in Paphos where there was a great selection to choose from of both Cypriot and British food. We opted for a Cypriot diet and it was delicious.
We ate at the two tavernas in Phyti. Pefkos had a fantastic mezze, there was a great selection and there was so much food, we couldnt get through it all! We went to Marias because it had rave reviews but were a bit disappointed because there was not alot of food available. What we had was nice, but if you are going to eat there I would recommend that you pay Maria a visit and ask when is the best time to go? We will do that next time as I am sure it would be good food, and Maria is very welcoming. We also ate at Imogens in Kathekas (just past Stroumpi) well worth a visit. Paphos is a very pretty area, with lots of green fields, fruit orchards, and beautiful flowers planted along the road side. We like to stay up in the hills rather than on the coast where you get to have a taste of traditional Cypriot life. You will see goats, donkeys, horses, swallows, sparrows, butterflies and much more. I hope it never changes. It is so lovely. There was improvement work being carried out in the village. My husband regularly went out running early in the morning and struck up a friendship with one of the Cypriot builders and was even invited to go and play football! We hope to go back again and would like to bring our parents and 20 & 22 year old kids with us as it would be great to fill the villa and use the balconies upstairs for the magnificant views. If you usually head for the coast - why not try something a bit different and head for this charming Villa in the hills - I'm sure you would be pleasantly supprised :-)
Just 25 minutes from Paphos and 15 minutes from Polis the village of Phiti and it's neighbour Lasa attract more and more people each year. Its surrounding countryside is superb for walking or birdwatching. There is one small shop in village, 2 tavernas and the famous museum of lace. The nearest large supermarket is on the way to Paphos some 20 minutes away. The drive through the vineyards to Phiti from Paphos is quite exquisite.
Golf: Paphos is the new jewel in the crown for golfers seeking golf breaks in the warmth of the eastern Mediterranean. It offers golfers challenging world class championship courses, warm hospitality and almost year round sunshine. There are two 18 hole golf courses to choose from. Tsada Golf Club which is just 20 minutes from Paphos town, on an elevated position 550 meters above sea level to ensure cool breezes during the summer months. It plays to a par 72 and measures 6,060 meters. The Secret Valley Golf Club is 18 kilometres east of Paphos lying within a scenic valley and offers panoramic views. It plays to a par 72 and measures 6,120 metres. The very newest addition is the luxurious Aphrodite Hills it plays to par 70 and with a course length of 6,299 metres.
