This modern Canarian style villa, which has superb views of volcanoes, mountains and two iconic windmills is situated between the historic town of La Oliva and the smart village of Villaverde,. Although in a semi rural location where farmers attempt to cultivate the barren land ,goats appear to graze on fresh air and Agave plants are left to their own devices there are 2 excellent restaurants and a super market all within a five minute walk.Bars, more restaurants and 2 cheese shops are within walking distance and the beaches at El Cotillo, Majanicho and Correlejo and the surfers village of Lajares are less than a 15 minute drive away. This area is ideal for cycling and walking and the second stage of the national walking route GR 131 almost passes the door.
The villa has 4 double bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a first floor studio with roof terrace and sitting and dining areas both inside and out.
Adjacent to the villa is a self contained one bedroom apartment which is fully equipped. This is available at an additional cost and provides accommodation for up to 4 more guests but is not let separately. This accommodation is ideal for grandparents accompanying their families or group leaders who require some privacy.
The villa is set within a large secure garden where there are fruit trees ,a barbecue, covered seating area, terrace with sunloungers, garden dining furniture and a solar heated shower. There is a new 8m by 4m heated swimming pool at a level depth of 1.4 m. The pool has swim jets which give a jacuzzi effect for relaxing and is also ideal for serious swimming against the current. The pool can be separated from the terrace by a purpose built removable mesh safety fence which gives peace of mind when young children are staying at the villa.

Loved this villa! It had everything we needed and the cleaning was of a very high standard. Beautiful roof terrace and pool, great design inside and spacious. Felt luxurious! Very quiet but near to lots of places so having a car was ideal! Stef, the owner, was so helpful with queries. Would definitely like to visit again. Absolutely loved Fuerteventura!
Beautiful Villa in Quiet Area with Good Restuarants/Supermarket Close By
My husband and I stayed in the villa in La Oliva and had a great time.
The villa was lovely, beautifully decorated and if I'm honest so much nicer than we expected. It really is a lovely place to stay.
We were only a couple staying off season but the house would be great for a big family - with two en suite rooms and two twin rooms. It was clean and really thoughtfully equipped with things like shopping bags to take to the supermarket, games and DVDs. The kitchen had everything you'd need to cater for big groups too.
There is a lovely outside area which is sheltered so when it was really windy during our stay we had a sheltered area to sit outside. The pool is also great - good temparature and size, we used the swim jets and attempted to keep fit whilst there.
We also used the free mountain bikes and explored the north of the island for one of the days. There are lots of walks (we ran them too and you could do short or long routes) and good mountain bike routes right from the house.
There are two restaurants within easy walking distance - we used both - Casa Vieja we particularly enjoyed as in the evening it felt like an old colonial building, food was very good at both places and you'd probably miss them if you were staying on the coast.
There is also a supermarket opposite one of the restaurants that was really handy and again within walking distance and open until 21.00 on most evenings except Sunday I think.
We'd hired a car which you would probably need to get to the villa and around as it is in a quiet area.
If you are after a lovely relaxing break in a quiet area and not touristy but still with a bit of life close by then this is the place to go. Great for families, walkers and evidently couples too :-)
Lovely rural villa in good location with easy access by car to El Cotillo and Correlejo
We all enjoyed our stay in this lovely rural villa. As there were 7 of us it was good to have 3 bathrooms, 2 being ensuite. The location was ideal for us as both El Cotillo and Correlejo were easily accessible by car but we enjoyed being away from the usual tourist haunts. Stephanie gave us lots of useful information with regard to the Farmer's Market in La Olivia and the local baker and places to walk and visit. We actually tried 2 local bakeries and there is also a small supermarket within walking distance. There were lots of guide books and maps in the villa along with books to borrow and DVDs. Stephanie even allowed us the use of her bikes which were used to cycle to the bakery for bread.
The villa itself was spacious with plenty of room inside and out and was of a lovely open plan design with a vaulted wooden ceiling and an extra sitting area/ office upstairs with views to the mountains. This was an ideal spot for anyone who wanted to find a peaceful area to read.
The pool was warm despite our weather not being very good with cloud and wind and it was good to try out swimming against the jets.
The kitchen was well stocked with equipment for home cooking.
We also really enjoyed the 2 local restaurants La Vieja which was a few yards down the road and Mahoh Restaurant (also walkable) both of which served local Canarian cuisine.
We loved being here and would definitely recommend this to others. We would come back here ourselves.
Great house in a practical and quiet location
The villa is in a great location easy drive from surf, hiking and towns. Walking distance to restaurants and supermarket. House itself is spacious and with plenty of inside and outside space, at a safe distance from the louder touristy areas
Thank you very much for your review. I am pleased that you all enjoyed your surfing and hiking experiences and will return for some more. You will be most welcome as you were excellent considerate guests.
Best wishes Stef
We were I group of divers and we were diving in Corralejo. Great villa for rental, a lot of space, on a quiet place, everything fine for people like us, which want after two dives a day a quiet place for rest. This property is very suited for such groups as well as for two families with kids.
Excellent villa in a great location.
An excellent villa that is spacious both inside and out. Inside is finished to a high quality on both floors. All the amenities worked and the showers and bathrooms were really clean and well maintained.
The ground floor consists of the living area, kitchen, dining area and 4 bedrooms (2 on-suite) and a separate bathroom. The first floor is a study/quiet area with a roof terrace.
Outside is well laid out, and private, and has a heated pool (with jets), a seating and dining area and BBQ.
We stayed there a family and found it to be the perfect location to enjoy Fuerteventura and the local area. Most of our evenings were spent around the pool with the BBQ on.
Great beaches and restaurants and located nearby.
Communications with Stef (the owner) was regular and all the detail that you needed to enjoy this fantastic place were provided well in advance.
Overall, I would definitely recommend and we look forward to visiting again in the near future.
Although a car is recommended there is a bus stop a few minutes from the villa with an hourly service to El Cotillo and Correlejo and a twice daily service to the capital Puerto Rosaria where there are buses to the south of the island.
Transport can be arranged from the airport to the villa and return.
