A fully refurbished 5 star 5 bedroom 10 person holiday let.
About Julie Taylor
We moved to the beautiful Yorkshire Dales at the end of 2015, having lived in London for more than 40 years. Paul is an artist and has a gallery in Hawes and Julie is a director of a company. We purchased The Apothecary's House in November 2015 and have spent a year refurbishing the property. The property has been ready as a holiday let since January 2017. We are hoping that people will enjoy, as much as we do, The Apothecary's House.

Why Julie Taylor chose Hawes
We fell in love with this property due to its idyllic location, its original features and the history of the Apothecary's House.
What makes this House unique
The Apothecary has been completely refurbished but has still retained some of its original features. There is an original stone staircase, wooden doors and exposed beams.

This was a wonderful property that exceeded our expectations. The host was very helpful and kind. A great holiday for all of us.
The very best of holiday homes
The Apothecary's House and Askrigg are the perfect base for exploring the dales. We just loved this house, it was perfect for our family group, ages ranging from 3 - 75 years. The house was so well equipped, the beds really comfortable and scrupulously clean. We are unanimous in wanting to return.
Easter in the Dales
Spacious comfortable holiday property. Plenty of room for 10 to spread out. Clearly well maintained and very clean. The owner made sure everything ran smoothly and was in contact before the holiday. Great location. Look forward to visiting again
Thank you for your comments and glad that you found your stay at the house up to your expectations. You certainly had the weather to see the Yorkshire Dales at its best. I look forward to your next visit. Kind regards Julie
Fabulous holiday home in a beautiful village
Just returned home after staying a week in this fabulous holiday home. We are a family of 6 adults and 4 children and the house was perfect. Everything we needed and more was available in the house. Great for young children as there’s plenty of space to spread out. Loved the extra little tv snug which the kids used on an evening to chill out before bed time. The beds are amazing! All of us mentioned how great the mattresses were. Lovely big enclosed garden which sadly due to the weather we couldn’t make best use of but would be great in the summer. The house was spotlessly clean and facilities great with plenty of bathrooms and showers. Everything you could need In the kitchen too. The owner Julie was great with communication and helpful info in the house welcome pack. Brilliantly situated for exploring and many villages surrounding. Humble Pie across the road was delicious! And we ate twice in a kings Arms and had a great atmosphere and food. Would highly recommend this house as a place to stay for a wonderful holiday. Thank you again.
so glad that you enjoyed your stay and thank you for your review, which I received on Christmas Day, my first present!
I wish you and your family a great Christmas and a happy and healthy 2019.

Great place for a big family group.
We stayed here with an extended family group and friends. It was great to have so much room and to have lots of bathrooms. The house had everything we needed. It was handy to have a little shop, pubs and cafes near by. Askrigg is a very nice village.
Thank you for your review and glad that you enjoyed your stay.
Askrigg is situtated in one of the most attractive areas of the Yorkshire Dales one of the National Parks. It lies in the heart of Wensleydale with easy access to Swaledale, and the rest of the Yorkshire dales. The river Ure close by with footpaths alongside with waterfalls above Askrigg with the Millgill Force and Whitfield Gill Force walk. Selmerwater is also nearby and is the largest natural lake in the country. Askrigg is also near to Hawes one of the most famous towns in the Yorkshire Dales. There are many beautiful walks nearby including a walk to the rear of the Apothecary towards Arrondale.
