ALCALA DEL JUCAR
Just 12 minutes from Carcelen, is Alcalá de Júcar, a village perched on a rock on a meander of the Júcar, where their houses climb by it or dig in the earth and ascend to the Castle presiding, sight, the town and the river. Carcelen is a municipality of Castilla-La Mancha located 50 km from the capital of the province, Albacete. Originally, Carcelen was a small village of the town of Almansa, but in 1260 was added to the bishopric of Cartagena.
