Clean and bright appartment
Very spacious, clean and bright in an excellent location.
Great Location, Bad Property Management
This is a great location in a beautiful city. We were there four nights. We walked everywhere!
Technically there are two bathrooms but there is an opening between so there was the same privacy you would find in a public restroom. Both handheld shower heads were broken. The beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the Nespresso machine.
The check in process was awful. You have to pick up the keys a 30 plus minute walk from the apartment. So you have to pay for two cabs. We got there in the morning from overseas and had to wait until 3 pm to receive the keys. There is a charge of a half day for early check in which wasn’t available.
We paid for 5 people, which is an extra charge. There were no linens for the person who had to sleep on the couch and that person was very cold. We went to the Friendly Rentals office and detailed the issues (broken shower, no blanket for sofa) and were told they would take care of blanket and repairs that day. We were there two more nights but they never did anything.
The apartment itself was great - BUT
The apartment itself was great - perfect location, nicely appointed with a very pleasant owner. However, Friendly Rentals is a misnomer. I had previously told them that I had serious knee problems and could not walk far. Nevertheless, they insisted that we come all the way to their office to fill in the forms and get the keys, and then we had to find the apartment ourselves - which turned out to be on the second floor - 36 stairs up! There were also a few problems with the apartment (no sheets, tea towels, basic necessities, bath plug and an understanding of the hot water system) which could have been sorted out with a representative of Friendly Rentals being available. Instead a women from the firm shouted at me on the telephone. So 5 stars for the apartment and owner, 0 stars for Friendly Rentals
