** 100 FT OF PRISTINE OCEANFRONT **

Watch the surf and let the dolphins entertain you at this oceanfront home nestled in the sand dunes in South Ponte Vedra Beach on the east coast of Florida! Enjoy a cup of coffee on the huge deck and watch the sun rise over the ocean. In the evening, sip your cocktail on the third-floor deck as the sun sets over Guana Lake.

Your vacation retreat is just minutes from great restaurants in Ponte Vedra Beach, Jacksonville and St. Augustine. The famous TPC Golf Course, home of The Players Championship, and The World Golf Village are also nearby. Disney World, Sea World, Universal Studios, Dolphin Cove and other Orlando attractions are an easy day trip as is the Kennedy Space Center. A list of area activities and restaurants will be provided prior to check-in.

The house was architecturally designed by its owner. It has three separate guest suites, each with its own heating and air-conditioning. The master suite has a king-size bedroom facing the ocean, and a second bedroom with a set of twin beds. The master suite bathroom has a double whirlpool tub, double shower, double sinks and a bidet. The other suites each have a king-size bedroom and a twin bedroom with separate baths for each suite. For small children, a youth bed, port-a-crib, high chair, stroller, boogie boards and beach toys are available as well as an outdoor shower.

The expansive great room is 45 ft. long with a 24-foot-high cathedral ceiling, and large picture windows overlooking the ocean. The kitchen is open to the great room and has fabulous views of both the ocean and Guana Preserve. The third-floor loft has seating areas and outdoor decks facing the ocean and Guana Lake. Light and bright with beach décor, this home is open and cheerful. Outdoors, wraparound decks overlook the ocean and a dune walkover gets you on the beach in seconds.

Pack your flip-flops and swimsuits and take a trip to paradise!

We have had 23 small Family weddings on our beach and because the house has a great room that is 45 ft long and a vaulted ceiling of 24 feet high, it has been very suitable that if happens to rain to have the wedding inside.

There is enough space for this type of gatherings to accommodate up to 30 people

Great vacation, awesome wedding, & spectacular house which we highly recommend!

  • 5 of 5

We were fortunate to be greeted upon arrival by the owner who designed the house along with his handyman. Both great guys who took excellent care of us throughout our stay. Special thanks to both of them who were just a phone call away and extremely attentive to all of our needs.

We really loved the house. Spectacular view on all sides of the house. The architect/design layout of the house was fabulous. The pictures don't do it justice. Glass windows all around the back of the house as well as the side with an awesome view of the beach. Master bedroom looking out to the ocean ...perfect way to start the day watching the sun rise. Roll over in bed & you can still see the sunrise reflecting off the closet mirrors that stretch across the room. Plenty of deck space out back & on the side with plenty of deck chairs. Upstairs loft area was one of my favorite areas.....walk out balconies on both sides with spectacular views. Several couch's/tables etc in the loft area to just relax or read a book, play cards, etc.

Six bedrooms that comfortably sleep 12 (two people per bedroom) plus twin bed & sleeper sofa up in loft area and a sleeper sofa on main floor to accommodate another 4-5 guests. Plenty of available floor space upstairs in the loft for anyone wanting to use an air mattress or sleeping bag. Our family members that slept downstairs raved about how secluded & quiet it was away from the rest of the house.

Large kitchen area & family area was great for family gatherings throughout our stay. Plenty of pots & pans & everything else you could think of in the kitchen. Extra refrigerators in garage. TV's in all bedrooms & in family room although too many other things to do so little time spent watching TV.

The house was conveniently located with easy access to all the activities that were planned for my son's wedding. Close to the wedding/reception held at the Serenata Beach club . Close to Villano Beach. Not too far from Sawgrass/Ponte Vedra & not too far from St Augustine.

Other family members, friends, & wedding party had other houses rented close by that we got to visit. While all their houses were really nice, those that stayed with us felt we had the best house of all.

While we didn't have any small children with us, we did notice several amenities that would be ideal if bringing small children.....(high chair, play-n-pack crib, small mattress, beach toys etc)

Great house!

Incredible accommodations and hospitality!

  • 5 of 5

I cannot say enough positive things about this beachhouse or Mr. Emerson, their owner. Dealing with him was such a pleasure. He was accommodating, doting, flexible, and friendly. His home is gorgeous and spacious- just what we needed for our family of 13! We had an incredible stay just enjoying the surrounding beach and the home itself. Our party ranged in age from 1-80, and everyone loved the “beach house”! Thank you again, Ralph!

Great Florida Beachfront House for Large Groups

  • 4 of 5

Our family of 11 rented this beach front home in S. Ponte Vedra Beach in FL for 8 days over the Xmas holidays. Our family really enjoyed staying here and even went swimming in the cold December water. The house was big enough to accommodate all of our family and they were very pleased during our stay. There were 2 large dining tables which we pushed together so everyone could eat together at 1 big table. The beds were very comfortable but wished there were extra pillows. The weather was terrific (80's) until the last couple of days when it turned cold. In the end, everyone was happy with the house and glad we had the opportunity to have most of our family together in one place. We would recommend this house to anyone with large group of up to 10.

There were some unexpected issues we had at the house. Of the 6 bedrooms, only 1 had a beautiful ocean view. The rest of the bedrooms looked out to the side towards adjacent homes and/or faced the street. Traffic noise occasionally got loud. The ground floor bedrooms had no view at all and were a bit humid and very dark. The house had a great wrap around deck with 3 ocean front sliding glass doors which had permanently posted signs indicating that they were to be used only as an emergency exit. Unfortunately, 2 of the 3 doors were screwed shut and could not be used to access the deck/beach or be available as an emergency exit. We asked the property manager to remove the screws on 1 slider which he did. The other observation is that the house and furniture are very dated. The kitchen was a bit small when cooking for 11 people and the utensils were a bit dirty . It had old Formica style countertops and old, sticky-to-the-touch facings on the cabinet doors/drawers. We had trouble with the dishwasher and the icemaker did not work. The furniture was also really old with torn and/or stained chairs. All the bathrooms really needed to be updated, especially the shower stalls and bench seats.

We do understand the hesitancy to upgrade an older home in a potential hurricane location and hope it never happens. But the 2nd floor main living area, kitchen and baths, which are relatively high above the ocean, need the most updating. The 3rd floor was rarely used.

Other very minor issues include burnt out bulbs and no replacement night lights bulbs for the kids rooms could be found. Lastly, the fireplace was electric and can't compare to the atmosphere created with wood burning or even a gas fireplace.

a little slice of heaven

  • 5 of 5

I have to say the house is so much more than the pictures indicate. We enjoyed the view of the sunrise every morning. Just beautiful!! We did go into St. Augustine but were just as happy hanging out at the house. We are a family that enjoys being together, the house was just the best bonus to spending time together. Ralph could not have been a nicer host. I would recommend his place to everyone. We hated to leave it is so peaceful and relaxing. We have rented before but we all agreed this one was the best place so far. Thanks Ralph from our family!!!!

Why The Owner chose South Ponte Vedra Beach

I searched the entire Southeastern Coast from MD,VA,NC,SC,GA plus the whole East coast of Florida plus the Keys and Gulf side, out the Panhandle including AL. and found Ponte Vedra to be the absolute best. It is close to the large and growing southern city of Jacksonville which features excellent performing arts, professional sports, fine restaurants and activities. My home is just a few minutes away from St. Augustine and it is within a few hours driving distance to Orlando, Daytona and the Kennedy Space Center. The temperature here is more moderate and less humid than other parts of the South. I bought the lot in the 1980's, designed my home, supervised the building of it in the 1990's and have been extremely happy with the results and my chosen area as has have my family, many friends and guests.

What makes this house unique

ON the beach with lots of marine life activity, peaceful uncrowded beach to watch the dolphins play and the occasional breeching of whales, nesting of the giant loggerhead turtles and the fiddler crabs digging their nesting holes in the sand. Shelling is great, surf fishing, beach glass and sharks teeth hunting. Seeing the sun and moon rise out of the sea and the beautiful sunsets over Guana Lake and Perserve. Walking in the extensive parkland trails of the Guana Perserve is a treat and is only a few minutes away. Dining at the unique varied fish camps along the Intracoastal Waterway and watching the private boats and fishing trawlers go by as you dine under the massive oaks with their hanging moss.
