Why Mirta Palmidoro & Francesco Manzini chose Sant' Ambrogio
My husband and I were looking as an investment a flat which was in the heart of Florence, in an ancient building and we fell in love with the beams and joists of this flat which are thypical of the Florentine style. This is also the reason why we tried to give Sant' Egidio a warm touch mantaining a very relaxing atmosphere.
What makes this Apartment unique
For us Sant' Egidio is unique because of its atmosphere, because of its location and for all love and attention to details we put into it.

We stayed at this property Oct. 7th to the 19th and the location was great. But stop just out your door. Within walking distance of major sites. Our rental was tastefully decorated and had everything we needed. Would recommend this place to anyone going to Florence for a visit. Our host was extremely gracious and property was very clean.
The location is fantastic! Convenient to all the sights as well as restaurants and shopping. The apartment is clean and all amenities are exactly as described. We had a worry-free stay.
Ideal location in Florence
The woman who met us and checked us in and unfortunately whose name we didn't get was lovely and helpful. We were early and she was there waiting. The location is a 5-10 minute walk to the Duomo, absolutely ideal. Loved having a washing machine! The fruit basket was exceptional and the prosecco was a treat. This is a great place from which to explore Florence.
Holiday in Florence.
Francesco took extra time to give a good orientation to Florence and to the apartment. Lots of little details to make the stay pleasant- wine, fruit, snacks. Very well furnished and convenient location.
Wonderful Apartment Near Everything
We really enjoyed our stay here, the apartment is very spacious, clean, well equipped, and within a short walk to everything. Check-in and communication with Mirta was wonderful. She was able to accommodate our early arrival into Florence by letting us drop of our luggage while the room as being prepared. The apartment is spacious with plenty of room to spread out and the kitchen is equipped with stove/oven, microwave and fridge. There is a nice supermarket just a minute down the road with anything you need (including wine) should you want to prepare your own meals or have a snack. The bedroom was spacious with plenty of storage, beautiful wood beam ceilings, and a nice little espresso machine. There is a small washing machine and drying rack which was great to have, especially since Florence was the middle stop on our trip. The location is great, we walked to everything, markets, museums, restaurants, etc. Hope to return someday and stay here again!
Everything for a couple for a few days
We spent 5 nights in the apartment and everything was perfect. There is a good stock of everything you would need - pots and pans, glasses, cups and even a washing machine.
And just around a corner there is a good supermarket and a view of the Dome!
A great location and service.
The street of Sant' Egidio follows the shape of the walls of the fifth circle, that of Dante's time, it owes its name to the church of Sant'Egidio.
The side of the street is dominated by high walls without windows of the former convent of the Oblate, which now belongs to the City of Florence and holds various institutions: a library, two museums and archives. The old chapel, with gabled façade is still visible in front of the forecourt of the hospital.
Our apartment Is located in the heart of Florence: 400 mt from Dome, 370 mt from Santa Croce Church which is a prestigious symbol of Florence, the meeting place of the greatest artists, theologians, religious scholars, humanists and politicians, who determined, in good times and bad times, the identity of the city's late-medieval and Renaissance art. It is also 500 mt from the Chruch and Market of Sant'Ambrogio, where every day for the past 100 years the locals have been going for their veggies, cheeses, meats and, most of all... to meet and greet
Thanks to its location is recommended to walk everywhere but should you need to use the local bus service the nearest bus stop is in front of the apartment. Also few car parkings are available at extra charge (The Oriuolo Garage is also just in front of the apartment) and which will allow you to enter the Limited Traffic Zone (LTZ).
