Great Location & Wonderful Stay

  • 5 of 5

This place was perfect for our group of 6. Everyone loved the pool at the end of the day since it was quite warm when we were here. We were very happy to have a place with air conditioning in the bedrooms. The courtyard was lovely and we spent many evenings having cocktails while the kids splashed in the pool. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed. We could walk into town, which we did every day for either ice cream or groceries. The market day in St. Remy is the best in Provence and should not be missed. We will stay here again on our next trip to Provence.

True Provençal home close to everything.

  • 4 of 5

We stayed in this house for a week in September. It suited our group perfectly as we were 2 couples and 2 children. We were grandparents holidaying with our son, his wife and 2 girls aged 5 & 8.

We loved the typical Provençal house. It is obviously a much loved home, not just a bland holiday rental, complete with toys, books, BBQ and cooking supplies.

We particularly appreciated the air conditioning in the 35 degree heat of Provence.

We loved sitting by the pool in the evenings and eating under the shade of the grape vine whilst the girls played happily in the pool. It was lovely to come home to after a days sightseeing.

The house is within walking distance to Saint Remy with its restaurants, shops and market and also to The Roman ruins at Glanum and the Monastery.

We each had cars and made day trips to the Camargue, Arles, Uzes, Les Beaux, the Pont du Gard, Avignon, Roussilon and Gordes, all worth visiting. The parking behind our accommodation was a real bonus.

Maylis was on hand to advise and assist us and our communication with her prior to our holiday was very easy.

Thankyou Maylis for a wonderful holiday in Saint Remy.

Fantastic accomodation in St Remy

  • 5 of 5

We stayed four nights in this gorgeous house in St Remy. From the first time we walked through the gate into the walled garden we were blown away. The garden/outdoor living area is beautiful. Bigger than it looks in the photos and the pool is just the right size to cool off from the hot Provençal sun. The pool is well maintained and clean. We ate outside under the grapevines every night and the BBQ also proved very handy!

We travelled with three young children (ages 6mths to 4 yrs) and this house was perfect for them! There are many toys that Maylis has kindly left at the house (as well as a high chair) and the pool has a very wide first step which proved the perfect place for the children to paddle whilst we watched from a sun lounger at the pool side. The house itself is gorgeous and authentic. It is a great size for two small families with two separate sleeping wings upstairs.

The kitchen had everything you would need and the living/dining spaces downstairs are great...although we spent most of our time outside.

Others have commented about the noise from the road and the height of the fence into the garden from the road, however we did not find either to be an issue.

The house is in a great location, just a short walk to the centre of town, and we walked in twice each day... Including first thing each morning to pick up pastries for breakfast.

I would highly recommend this house, particularly for those with children and hope to return myself some day!

Thank you Maylis.

Très belle location

  • 5 of 5

A Memorable Stay

  • 5 of 5

This home is perfect for two couples or a family. We loved the large rooms, beamed ceilings and historic feel. Having two bathrooms upstairs worked perfectly. We turned on the AC upstairs and had a good night sleep. Beds were very comfortable too. The kitchen was used often and we liked the professional stove. A favorite area for us was the enclosed courtyard with seating area and private swimming pool. During our stay the washing machine stopped working. The hosts responded immediately and took care of our clothes. A new washing machine was installed the next business day. We appreciated their thoughtfulness and concern. You will find Saint Remy in the center of Provence and an easy drive to most places. This home is just a short walk into the center of town and a grocery store is nearby. Don't forget the Wednesday market! We would love to come back again and highly recommend staying here.

fantastic

  • 5 of 5

The location was excellent, just a short walk into town for a bakery in the morning or lunch or dinner in the evening. The house its self was beyond expectations. It was very clean, well equipped and the beds were very comfortable. Our host, Maylis, was very good with suggestions and directions for entertainments for our stay. She was nearby and available for questions and concerns. St, Remy seems small on the map buthas so much to offer. Restaurants, shopping, the Wednesday market, galleries and much more. Do not miss the Abbe just outside of town where Van Gogh stayed. The cloisters are beautiful and they do art therapy there for patients and have a nice exhibition. MZost of all just let yourself wonder the streets and alleys. This is a great walking town and a fantastic base for visiting Arles. Les Baux, the Camargue. Luberon villages, Pont du Gard, the Valensole plain of Lavender fields and the Gorge du Verdon. Our party of six adults over 60 look foreward to visiting Maylis again.
