In this beautiful provencal countryside, at the foot of the Luberon mountain, this old farm is situated on a 12 acres land, at the front of a little wooded hill.

This will be an ideal base for exploration of famous little villages, local markets and trekking on the many tracks.

All rooms have been renovated trying to keep the atmosphere of an ancient family home. However, all equipment is according to modern standards your may expect.

This authenticity is such that some of our regular visitor have declared this place their "family home" where they gather for special occasions.

Just what we were hoping for...!

  • 5 of 5

We just loved this place! The house was spacious, clean, light - 4 full bedrooms and 2 full baths with great showers. The kitchen was a dream - we prepared several meals there with food we bought in town and at the local markets. As another reviewer mentioned, everything was very high quality, from the appliances down to the cutlery...I wanted to stay forever! It is so peaceful - I have never seen that many stars at night! We did not meet the owner Didier, but we communicated by text and telephone with no problem. Roger, who I believe lives on the premises, was there to welcome us and show us around the home. We found it with no problem using Google Maps (not sure that we would have otherwise...). We wanted a remote spot to get away, but somewhere that would be a good start for day trips around the area. Perfect! Except that we loved the town of Bonnieux so much that we didn't want to go anywhere else! All the local people were friendly and helpful, and there are great restaurants there. We especially loved l'Arome. We did make several day trips, to L'Isle sur la Sorgue (a nice town but it was pouring rain so we didn't really get to do much), Lourmarin, Menerbes and Lacoste....all very close and all charming. We loved the Friday market in Bonnieux - a great spot to pick up last-minute souvenirs and gifts, like handmade soaps, lavender sachets, gorgeous olive wood spoons, cutting boards, etc., delicious food items, and of course local cheese, bread and vegetables. We visited several wineries and tasting rooms in the area....All of us are wine lovers, and we were amazed at the value of the local delicious and so inexpensive! So yes, we loved it all! Next time we will definitely stay longer...five days in heaven was not nearly enough!

Owner's Response: We consider that a nice, comfortable and welcoming home is the key to a nice holiday. Also it enables you to appreciate our lovely Provence and all its treasures. We do our utmost to meet our guest expectations as if it were for ourselves and even better ... Being our genuine family house for several generation, we endeavor leaving it as close as possible to its original atmosphere, only keeping up the standards of cleanliness, hygiene and comfort. And it is our best reward when our guests can feel all this, together with the satisfaction of a fulfilled holiday and when they come back with such pleasant and kind comments. Thank you most sincerely ! Therese and Didier

Un coin de serenite

  • 5 of 5

J'espere bien y revenir.

65 Days in the Luberon

  • 5 of 5

After arriving in France we spent five nights in Paris before training to Avignon, picking up a car and driving towards Bonnieux. We had made our selection long before coming to France. This property was nicely situated in the countryside but still in walking distance to Bonnieux. We were not disappointed. As we drove up to this magnificent house we were greeted by a smiling and generous host. Not only was there a welcoming basket including bread, fruit, wine and beer, but the property far exceeded our expectations. We even had our first evening meal prepared for us. It was spotlessly clean and roomy with a modern kitchen, laundry etc. Great attention to detail has been made, with high quality furnishing, linen, crockery and cutlery. The kitchen was a dream to work in, with a brand new stove and oven.

Our stay from mid-spring to early summer allowed us to see this amazing area transform. We watched lavender fields burst into flower, vineyards go from budding to full growth and cherries ripen for the picking. Walking up the lane in the evenings to pick cherries and look at the lavender was a highlight. We walked all around Bonnieux, visited all the surrounding hill top villages and local markets. There were two quality vineyards within a few kilometres of the house. Coustellet's market each Sunday was a highlight. This property is so special that we soon felt at home and really did begin to feel that it was our very own. All four bedrooms are large with outstanding views up to Bonnieux. It was truly a stay of a lifetime, something very special to us and something we will never forget and cherish forever. While there we welcomed four groups of friends who stayed from two days to two weeks. They too loved this property, it's tranquility and it's open surroundings. We really can't speak too highly of this great house and it's owners.

Tolles Ferienhaus mit außergewöhnlichem Blich

  • 5 of 5

  • 5 of 5
