We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this spacious Munich home. The house was perfect for our family of seven. The kitchen was well equipped to cook any delicious meal you desired, the beds were very comfortable after a long day of sight seeing and the entire house is tidy and extremely clean from top to bottom. There is an outdoor seating area in the garden - wonderful for enjoying evening meals. The Hudelmaier's were perfect hosts. They explained how to use all the appliances, indicated where items were stored and stocked the fridge with much appreciated basic groceries. The house is in a nice quiet neighborhood with a great park (West Park) within walking distance. There is also a grocery store a few streets way that is extremely convenient. We had rented a nine passenger van and parking was a breeze - right outside on the street. We felt very comfortable and happy staying in this house and would highly recommend this home to anyone planning to visit Munich.
This place met all of our needs and was wonderfully clean, large, fully equipped and situated in a very nice and quiet residential neighborhood. Our family of 7 met in Munich for 8 days of family reunion and fun. Grandparents, parents and 4, 6 and 8 year olds had all the well furnished space we needed. Beds were great and house was warm. The grandkids loved the available toys, especially the fort and dolls with carriage situated on the top floor playroom. We did lots in Munich as the transportation system is excellent (we did not have or need a car) and the tram stops within a 2 minute stroll from the house. We could be anywhere in less than 30 minutes. A group tram pass for 4 days cost 30 euros and covered all of us. We spent time in Marienplatz seeing Glockenspiel, Hofbrauhaus with traditional music and food including very large pretzels, shopping. Went to Krone Circus (great..kids loved it), Zoo (nice), BMW Welt (kids climb on motorcycles and in cars), Deutsches museum for 6 hours (large and fun...electricity and glass blowing shows), day trip tour with guide to Bavarian castles (Neuschwanstein, Linderhof and the cute village of Oberammagau with wonderful ice cream). Manfred and Ingrid who own this house were very nice, easy to communicate with and had everything all ready for our arrival including some foods to get started since we arrived on a Sunday when groceries are closed. Grocery is close and an easy walk...Ingrid has a rolling case to hold all of the groceries we needed. We ate in the Rose Garden of the Westend Park just a 5 minute walk from the house. Kids loved the park with lakes, birds and lots of playgrounds. We cooked most meals as it is not the easiest thing to dine out with 3 small kids. Stove, microwave, pots, dishwasher etc all there. Washer and dryer kept us clean. House has nice backyard, but it was too cold for us to use. Overall, it was excellent...best HomeAway rental of the 6 we have used. Thanks Manfred and Ingrid for being great hosts. We truly recommend this place to families visiting Munich.
Our multigenerational family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. It was in a great location for day trips around Munich and for relaxing afterwards with the whole family. Ingrid and Manfred could not have been nicer and we had excellent communication beforehand. Their home was immaculate! The beds were comfy and the windows opened for fresh cool air (no a/c, which is common in Germany). The kitchen was well equipped and stocked for our arrival. The pack ‘n play bed, the wonderful yard, toys, close grocery store, and the washing machine and dryer, all made traveling with a toddler a breeze. It was so nice to be in a residential neighborhood yet a short walk to the tram to get into Munich. The biergarten in the nearby park was great and had the largest pretzels we’d seen. We highly recommend staying in this delightful home and location.

We stayed in this beautiful home for a week while my husband and coworker attended a convention at the Messe Munchen. The location is perfect - easily accessible to a tram which connects in 2 stops to the metro, but in a very quiet neighborhood away from the noise of the city. Great to come home to at the end of a busy day sight-seeing (or working). There is a lovely garden in the back which is great for having a beer at the end of the day. It was such a luxury to have a separate bedroom for everyone, including our 2 teenage children. The beds were super comfortable and the house is scrupulously clean. We also very much appreciated that Manfred and Ingrid had the refrigerator and pantry stocked since we did not get to the market before they closed (8pm in Germany) the day we arrived. The park nearby was perfect for our son to go for his long run everyday, and we enjoyed the swans and rose garden and biergarten in the park. I really can't say enough good things about this house. We will definitely be looking to stay there again if we travel to Munich.
This property was wonderful. Large, beautifully decorated, very comfortable. When we arrived there was a fruit selection for us and the hosts were absolutely delightful. Very close to the metro so very easy to get around if you don't have a car.
We were there for Oktoberfest and it was very close and so convenient. Little supermarket less than a five minute walk away.
If you are thinking about staying here, just do it. I cannot recommend this property and its owners enough.
