Casa Mauri has been renovated to provide modern facilities whilst retaining the original farmhouse character of exposed beams and contrasting stone and white-plastered walls. Both cottages are fully licensed by the tourist board and have passed all health and safety requirements and are fully equipped. The region is a wildlife paradise with a wide range of birds, wild flowers and butterflies. It is an ideal place to experience many outdoor adventures and visit historic sites. The ancient Farmhouse has been modernised sympathetically. At a height of 1000 meters it commands views from it’s terrace over the surrounding countryside, Terradets gorge and the Montsec mountain range. All linen is provided. In the winter months there are electric radiators in the bedrooms and the living room is heated by a new pellet stove. (Electricity is metered and there is an extra charge in the winter months for usage, the owner sells the pellets to guests as per requirement). Cooking is by a free standing gas oven and there is no charge for the gas.

Well equipped kitchen with 4 ring cooker plus oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster and coffee maker. The kitchen has a good range of crockery, glasses, and a variety of pans, serving dishes and implements. A washing machine is available in one of the outbuildings.
The large living room has access to a private terrace which has outstanding views of the surrounding countryside. There is a large flat screen TV with DVD player. The owner has some DVD’s to borrow on request. There is free WiFi broadband internet. Pets are accepted.

Santa Engracia is situated 10km from the main road and is reached via a tarmac country road that climbs up to the village. Access to the village houses is pedestrianised. Parking is in the car park at the entrance to the village. There is then a 300m walk uphill along what was originally a mule track but is now a wide paved street. The owner lives adjacent to the properties and can help you with your luggage if arriving at a reasonable hour (the owner has a small quad bike with trailer for transporting luggage to the house). She will be available to give help and advice at any time. The properties were specifically renovated and equipped for holiday rentals. The owner is registered with and approved by the Catalan authorities. Although the 2 properties are situated around the same courtyard they are completely independent. The Farmhouse faces away from the cottage and no noise is transmitted between the two. Outside: A picturesque walled courtyard is shared access to both properties with flowers,garden and grapevine. Barbecues are available. The village church (no bells) is adjacent to the courtyard and from here, near the pinnacle of the outcrop, is a magnificent 360° view. On the rock is a Romanesque tower and a series of dinosaur footprints.
Guests rent the whole Farmhouse and have their own access via a shared courtyard. It is not suitable for wheelchair access.
Interaction with Guests
The owner or helper will be on hand to help with advice on areas to visit, walking, climbing etc. They live in the house adjacent to the rental. The owner and helper will endeavour to offer a friendly service so that guests can fully appreciate their stay in this amazing area
The location of The Farmhouse provides an opportunity to see the stunning rock formations near the house and the surrounding areas. It is exceptional in the mountain views it commands as well as offering the diversity of lakeland scenery. There are several fabulous walks from the house itself for which maps and information are provided. There are many outdoor activities in the region from climbing, walking, swimming in the nearby lake, canoeing, rafting, and mountain biking.The High Pyrenees are approximately 45 minutes away if you wish to experience alpine scenery as well. Fauna and Flora
A car is essential if you wish to stay at Casa Mauri and tour the area. The owner can offer lifts to and from the bus or train station in Tremp and a trip to the supermarket in Tremp for a small fee for those people not wishing to tour the area.

The house is completely no smoking. The owner asks that guests are well behaved and respect the property they are renting.
All titles deeds are in order and all rates are paid up to date.
Damage deposit is 100€ in cash upon arrival.
Each 15kg bag of pellets is charge at 7€.
Electricity is metered at 0,23€ per KWH (This is what we pay). Only for stays between November and March.
Pellets and electricity are to be paid for a the end of the stay directly on site.
Pets are charged at 15€ each. This amount is to be paid for separately onsite.

All prices include VAT. Local tax of € 0,90 (+ VAT) per person per night with a maximum application of 7 nights for guests over 16 years is excluded.
If the guest cancel or modify the reservation less than 7 days in advance, unused nights are not refundable. Otherwise there will be a 70% refund for unused nights.
A 200€ cash damage deposit is required upon arrival. Which will be returned once the spaces and objects have been verified.
