Our beautiful stone barn conversion has been restored to the highest standards.

The ground floor living/dining room and well-equipped American style kitchen, opens onto a large covered veranda with facilities for outside dining and relaxed seating, and views across the garden to the vineyards. There is also a double bedroom, spacious utility room (with fridge, freezer and washing machine), large shower room, and separate WC on the ground floor. Beautiful burgundy stone floors throughout, with electric radiators and a wood-burning stove.

Upstairs are two large double bedrooms, one with king-size bed and one with twin single beds. A study area (with second TV), family shower room and separate WC all with beautiful wooden or stone floors complete the first floor accommodation.

Ascending to the top floor you will find a further bedroom with single bed (can be converted into a double on request) and a luxury new bathroom with toilet and washbasin.

The property is fully insulated with electric radiators throughout, and double glazing and shutters. Cozy in winter and cool in summer.

Additional garden furniture, recliners and tables are available for use of guests, and there are also some bikes available on request.

Our property is in the small village of Change, in the Cosanne Valley. For cyclists and walkers, Change is on the Voie Verte and is conveniently situated between Nolay and Santenay. It is approximately 25 minutes drive from Beaune.

Ample off-street parking is available, and covered parking for one car. Extensive lawned gardens, which also include the village washpool with natural water-source.

For your comfort we recommend no more than 6 guests as the dining facilities cater for 6, however, 4 bedrooms provides flexible sleeping arrangements for diverse groups of family and friends.

About Helen and Paul ISOM

We are both classical musicians who live and work in England near Sevenoaks. We bought our first property in Change about 10 years ago after getting to know and love the area around Beaune. Together with our twin boys (now 5 years old) we normally spend school holidays in France unless we are away in tour with one of our choirs. During the last 2 years we have been searching for a slightly bigger property and after an exhaustive search over a 10 km area we have ended up back in Change, just across the river from where we started out!

Why Helen and Paul ISOM chose Change

We were searching for a character property, with the same high quality finish of our previous house. We have worked hard to ensure that La Grange really is a 'home from home' so the beds are comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped, and there is plenty of crockery and cutlery. The house is fully equipped with modern electric heaters so is warm and cozy in the winter months and there is also a wood burning stove. For summer dining there is a large table outside on the covered veranda and extensive lawned gardens with views across the vineyards.

What makes this cottage unique

La Grange is ideally situated for exploring the area. There are 9 wine makers in the village and a vast choice of domains in the area. Nolay is 2 mins away in the car or a short cycle ride (bikes in various sizes are available at the property but please request in advance) and features a lovely covered market square, shops, restaurants and a very good small supermarket. In the other direction, Santenay (6 km) has an excellent open air swimming pool which is open most afternoons in summer.

Beaune, Chagny, Autun and Chalon are all accessible by car, as are the forests and lakes of the Morvan.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans la maison que nous avons réservé. Seul le temps n'était pas de la partie.

La description sur le site est conforme à ce que nous avons trouvé en arrivant. C'est un lieu calme, reposant avec une superbe maison simple et très bien conçue. On s'y sent comme chez soi.
