About Donna Olavarria
We have always enjoyed traveling with our family and learned quickly that vacation rental homes made everyone happier and more comfortable. After renting our second home for years to long-term rentals, we decided to turn it into a vacation rental so families, like ours, could enjoy it too. We had a lot of fun remodeling the home over the past couple of years. We watched lots of HGTV! There were lots of great shopping trips to the local antique and vintage stores to doll her up. A few thrift stores too! Pete works in Melbourne for a big corporation and Donna works as a paralegal in Winter Park, FL. We both love the Cocoa area to rest after a crazy week of work. Our family and friends enjoy coming over for BBQ"s, a glass of wine and a lively game of Dominoes. Donna is a native of Florida and Pete is a 1950's immigrant from Cuba, growing up in Miami. We have two grown daughters who also live and work in the area. As always, we are currently planning our next vacation and are looking through this site for a home to rent! We hope you have a great vacation. If you stay at our place, we hope we get to meet you and hear your plans.
Donna Olavarria purchased this House in 2003
Why Donna Olavarria chose Broadview Manor
We bought this property because it in a perfect location for travel between the Orlando area and the beach. When visiting, we can quickly get back to our main home near Orlando if necessary. The house is in a quiet, family oriented neighborhood only 1 block away from the amazing Indian River. Our favorite thing to do is to take walks along the river front. We instantly relax, once the water is in view. We can quickly get to adorable Cocoa Village and be on the beach within minutes. We find that we are never in want of anything to do here. We hope to retire in this home someday.

Best Vocation home!
Clean. Extremely clean. After 10 hours of long drive, we walked into a super clean house with a welcome bag on the table. Great house! Great location! We definitely will stay here next time when we are in Cocoa beach.
Welcoming and Relaxing!
Cocoa Girl Cottage was great for our family visit! Donna was very helpful and prompt during our planning, arrival, stay and departure. Cocoa Girl is in a great location, in a quiet neighborhood; yet close to everything we needed and wanted to explore. We biked along Indian River, visited Kennedy Space Center, nature preserves and beaches. Cocoa Girl had everything we needed for us and our family to enjoy our stay!
Restful, remarkable and truly a gem!
The cocoa girl cottage was a treat for our family to stay at! Everything was well appointed, comfortable and clean. Beds were beyond relaxing... Nothing could have been better. High praise for everything as nothing was lacking!! We will definitely be staying there again. It was close to are chosen activities and of to the beach. A helpful binder was even there to provide additional information about all things in the Cocoa area! We loved everything about the Cocoa Girl Cottage!!❤️
We can’t wait to come back!
This was our favorite home we have ever rented on VRBO. It is spotlessly clean, the kitchen is more than well equipped, the location is quiet and convenient to everything. And it is just adorable! The attention to detail was amazing. The hosts Donna and Pete were so helpful, instantly responding to any questions. Their recommendations were all spot on. We even got to meet them, which was so fun.
Cocoas historic downtown is so unique and there was plenty of parking. You are only ten minutes away. We went to a play at their playhouse and it was great. We also went to the space center (20 minute drive) and the beaches here are not crowded and there is ample free parking. There are thrift stores and antique stores aplenty and Donna will give you a list.
What we loved the most though was the Cocoa Cottage. I could live there! We can’t wait to come back. Thank you so much for your hospitality Donna and Pete!
Love This Home!
After our first stay earlier in the month, we returned for another week in this fabulous place. As it was before, this home offers everything we needed. Fully equipped kitchen, comfy bed, great places to relax, and awesome hosts. For us, this location is perfectly situated for all we needed to do. And the morning drive along the river was better than any cup of coffee to start your day right. I have no doubt we will return soon!
Welcome to Old Florida!
This home reminds me of growing up in Florida...only better! Located in a hidden gem of a neighborhood, the Cocoa Girl Cottage is a very cute and comfortable home away from home. It is very spacious...especially with just two of us. But it would be great for four also. The furnishings and decorations are really well done. The house is super CLEAN! The kitchen is well stocked and the appliances are really nice. The living room has plenty of seating and the sofa has two recliners (ask Donna about "the move" to get them out). The beds are very comfortable and roomy. The bathrooms are well appointed and have the old school tile colors we grew up with. The neighborhood is very quiet. The occasional train horn is a very cool sound. Not too near but adds an ambience. You are also within walking distance to the river (just a block or two). I love driving along River Road to see the wildlife and the beautiful properties along the waterfront. The hosts for Cocoa Girl Cottage, Donna and Pete, are fantastic. We were lucky enough to meet them and they are down to earth and very friendly people. If you decide to stay here, they will probably surprise you with some extras that you will find very useful at some point during your stay. We were so pleased with the cottage that we have already booked our next stay!
The home is in a great location allowing you to enjoy all that Central Florida has to offer. Day trips from the home will get you easily to all the theme parks, Disney World, Sea World, Universal Studios, etc. Cocoa Beach is minutes away. The cruise ships are minutes away. You will never be at a loss for something to do. We have a notebook in the home, full of ideas to fill your days, from fishing, canoeing, antique/vintage store shopping, golfing, boating and so much more. Our home is within minutes of a major road (SR 528) also known as the Beach Line, that will get you quickly to all sorts of fun spots. The home is priced right, allowing you to spend more of your vacation dollars on adventures rather than on lodging. Let the adventure begin!
