We made our way gently along the narrow track to the electric gates that slowly opened and welcomed us to the tranquil and beautiful Villa Louise. We were welcomed at the top of the lavender scented drive by the lovely and super efficient Elisa who explained everything we needed to know and happily catered for our every need thereafter. Louise, is beautifully positioned and offers the very best of Umbrian country living with sculpted gardens, professionally cared for by the gardener who made sure we were very kindly gifted home growen fruits, veg and eggs from the resident hens every day, with a gorgeous pool and living space both which we made very good use of.
Even though the weather was unseasonally warm, the new air conditioning system in the bedrooms and water cooler provided kept us cool and comfortable to enjoy an amazing five days.
It was a great pleasure hosting the Anderson family! Communication was made easy as they were all very friendly, and were very appreciative of the villa and the region. They left the villa clean and we highly appreciate this. We would welcome them back to the villa any time and recommend them to any future hosts. Thank you for choosing us and for your words of appreciation.
This place is a wonder. Beautiful. And the staff thoroughly cater to the guests.
We were delighted to have Mr and Mrs Bronson as our guests! They stayed at the villa for 7 x days, were very kind, understanding, friendly and respectful of the villa. Communication was great and we hope they will visit Villa Louise Umbria again in the future.
Villa Louise is a little piece of heaven
Villa Louise is a little piece of heaven that we are so pleased to have found and so privileged to have spent a week living there.
We were travelling between city breaks in Rome and Bologna and had planned a retreat to relax and recharge. Online reviews suggested Villa Louise was a special place. It exceeded all our expectations. The only downside was being so sad to leave, but we did so with big smiles and many happy memories.
The property manager Elisa was superb. Elisa is very friendly and happy to help with any query. She is eager to share her knowledge of this beautiful corner of Italy, as well as sharing the local yummy gelato and pastries. Gardener Nicola provided fresh vegetables and eggs every morning all sourced from the property, as well ensuring the pool was in perfect condition. Elisa and Nicola are a great team and a real asset to the villa.
A lovely memory was watching a mother wild boar and her five piglets take an early morning stroll across the fields on the opposite side of the valley. We also enjoyed the rich night skies following a barbeque and glass of local wine or a beer from local craft ale brewery Caber beer. The pool and villa facilities speak for themselves and were all well appreciated by us.
For the more energetic Villa Louise has mountain bikes for hire and I can recommend riding the mountain tracks and tops visible from the villa (these start from Ocenelli, Tarzo San Severo and Montemartano).
We hope to return one day and rekindle or friendship with Villa Louise and its great team.
Thank you for letting us stay.

Dear Mr Biddiscombe and family
Thank you for your review and comments about Villa Louise Umbria and our Team.
We received such rewarding feedback with much gratitude and pride, as it means our product (Villa Louise) satisfied and that we achieved some goals!
Elisa and Nicola told us that you and your family were the perfect guests. You showed great appreciation for the property and Umbria, and your family left the villa in perfect condition, very clean and tidy with everything intact! Thank you!
We are proud of our Team and they were happy to have met your beautiful family, and we welcome guests such as yours back to the villa anytime. Elisa loves sharing her knowledge and is passionate about what she does, and we are happy that she was able to share some of it with you. We are looking forward to your next visit.
Best wishes from the Team at Villa Louise Umbria
This villa and its surroundings are just amazing. We spent 5 nights which wasn’t long enough but loved every minute.
Some of the best bits are the gorgeous pool, the privacy and space, the fresh eggs and vegetables brought to us everyday, the play area for our two year old and the whole inside of the house which is luxurious yet comfortable.
We couldn’t have asked for more and even if we needed to Elisa would have been on it straight away as she was so easy to contact (WhatsApp!) so friendly and professional.
Thank you and we will definitely be visiting again with more family in the future xxx
Thank you for choosing us! It was a pleasure hosting you and receiving your feedback about Villa Louise Umbria.
Emma and her family were great guests as they respected the villa and property. Easy and friendly. Her little daughter enjoyed the playground, and was keen to help in the garden too. They stayed only a few days, but we recommend them to other hosts and hope they will return again.
Way better than the site suggests - a real gem (both the villa and Elisa, the amazing manager!)
Villa Louisa is a wonderful place to stay in so many ways. Firstly, it is really hidden away down about a kilometre of gravel track; entirely peaceful and private. The villa itself is well-finished with pretty much everything you could need, even down to four sets of cutlery, an ice-cream maker and sky on-demand movies. The beds are good quality and the showers work well. The pool is wonderful, not too cold (as so many are) and not too deep, allowing the kids to play safely. The gardens are extensive and multi-level - much bigger than the photos show. We were given three or four fresh eggs every day from the chickens and guinea fowl (which don't crow at dawn, by the way) and tomatoes, courgettes, aubergines and even a butternut squash from the garden vegetable patch - we didn't buy eggs or veg for the entire stay.
However, the biggest asset of Villa Louise isn't the physical property itself, lovely though it is, but the exceptional manager Elisa. She came to meet us at a restaurant she had recommended on our first day and then drove with us to show us the villa. She helped out with every question, even getting a neighbour to escort us how when we were lost nearby one night with a flat tyre. She left us a lovely welcome package, brought pastries and croissants twice in the early morning, left on the outside table for us to find upon awakening, gave us a lovely private tour of Spoleto and even brought a bottle of craft beer made by her boyfriend as a parting gift. At the same time, she was professional throughout, responding quickly to a blocked shower or a profusion of flies we had created by leaving the doors open. She has picked four restaurants to recommend to guests, some with discounts for us, and we ate in three, all of which were excellent. And all with charm and a happy smile! It made the difference between a good stay and a great one.
Any downsides? The sitting room and especially kitchen are a bit dark at night and a few more kids games would be welcome. Not big issues though.
Thank you very much for your words and review. It was a really pleasure to have you and your family as our guests.
All our guests’ wellbeing is important to us, and we always endeavor to offer them our best.
You and your family were very kind and you treated the Villa like your home.
Your beautiful kids, discovered every little corner of the Villa and also enjoyed ours cats, Nala and Patricia (apologies for Nala’s reaction to Ned!).
I tried to give you my best, and it was a pleasure to be of help. Service, combined with trust and dependability is what we aim to give our guests, as their holidays should be enjoyed hassle free and with maximum enjoyment.
Thank you for choosing Villa Louise Umbria, as well as your appreciation of my assistance during your stay.
It was a pleasure to have met you and your family. Best wishes.
