First Class living !!!
This place is really first class, every thing from the state of the art induction cook top to the remote controlled window blinds to the wonderful views of the river Deben from the decks (yes there is more than one). Roz, met us upon arrival, showed us around and even had her son help us with our luggage, a really nice touch as we traveled there from Virginia and were pretty tired. The open floor plan living / dining area has a retractable "glass wall" (for want of a better term) that allows the living area to extend to the outside deck. We really enjoyed our stay there and would recommend it without hesitation! A truly outstanding experience!! GREAT WORK!!!
Thank you for your kind words Carlos. It's great to have guests from America as you tend to notice different things which is always worthwhile.
Hope to see you again in the future.
Woodbridge is an attractive Georgian, riverside market town with a plethora of interesting independent shops, many pubs and restaurants providing for all tastes. The town centre is dominated by the historic Shire Hall on Market Hill and the small but informative Woodbridge Museum is nearby. The are many boutiques, galleries and cafes, streets and old buildings to explore at one's leisure.
Outside the town there are miles of footpaths to discover through Rendlesham and Tunstall Forests, as well as coastal and riverside footpaths along the Rivers Deben and Alde. The historic site of Sutton Hoo, the burial ground of an Anglo Saxon King, situated on the north side of the Deben, is well worth a visit. At the Suffolk Punch Trust you can learn about our famous heavy horses and see demonstrations; a visit to Southwold will enable you to to discover the joys of Adnams ,beer!
Bird enthusiasts are well provided for as Minsmere and Havergate Island RSPB bird sanctuaries are both nearby. From your comfortable chair in our living room you can gaze out over the river, and watch......
For music lovers, thanks to Benjamin Britten, we have Snape Maltings Concert Hall providing a wide variety of music year round. In the vicinity there are also art galleries, shops, pubs and cafes to enjoy.
For the more energetic, there are three golf courses nearby: Woodbridge, Ufford and Seckford; there are tennis courts at Kingston Fields and Melton and sailing at the Deben Yacht Club. Being a relatively flat county cycling is a popular pastime and there are riding stables within 30-45 minutes drive.
