A stone's throw from the River Kent and less than a five minute walk from Kendal train and bus stations and a bustling town centre, our lovely modern accommodation is ideally placed for you to relax, unwind and enjoy all that the area has to offer.

Our 2 bedroom self-contained annex is equipped with everything you need to enjoy a home-from-home stay. There is always something going on, with events and festivals taking place all year round as well as the beautiful outdoors on your doorstep, ready for you to explore.

Rebfurbished in 2016, on the ground floor there is fully equipped modern kitchen, dining and living area. To the first floor there are two Ensuite bedrooms - one with Kingsize four poster bed. The second bedroom can either have twin beds or a SuperKing.

Free off road parking available on site.

Washing Machine / Dryer. Dishwasher. Fridge/Freezer. Televisions / DVD players. Iron / Ironing Board. Hairdryers. Complimentary WiFi.

Relaxing and cosy cottage

Brilliant place to stay close to the town centre and easy access to the lakes.

Smashing cottage really warm and cosy just everything about it was great. They even provided dressing gowns and slippers, shampoo and shower and it was easy that each bedroom had its own bathroom.

Just 2 minutes down the road is a quaint and friendly pub which serves food.

Ideal location and homely.

The property was freshly decorated and had a homely feel.

It was well stocked with all you need. (Maybe add a tray to carry cups of tea?)

The location was ideal especially for walking into the town centre.

It was lovely to be able to open the windows and hear the river so close by.

(Only issue we had was couple of noisy mornings from the garage next door, but obviously this is out of the owner's control.)

Cosy cottage feel

Beautiful place, perfect for getaway and access to lakes. Few min from train station, right on the river and a stones throw from some lovely restaurants. Really enjoyed our stay here, rooms are really cosy, beds really comfy, room for travel cot. Well equipped kitchen and nice touches around the place. Hope to return soon.

Comfortable and well appointed

The school house was just what we wanted, a comfortable place within easy reach of town that was dog friendly. There is a nice green to walk the dogs very close by. The house had everything we needed and the beds were lovely and comfortable. We visited the castle inn, a few doors down, which sold really good beer.

Absolutely perfect

Great stay at school house. Very central, right by the river, lovely furnishing with every possible amenity to make our stay a great one. Met the very charming owner also who was extremely friendly and helpful. 10/10. Will be back for sure.
