Twin Palms is a fabulous two bedroom apartment, located at the well loved, prestigious resort of Glitter Bay on the west coast of Barbados. This apartment has just been refurbished elegantly to a very high standard, and is fully equipped with everything that one would expect of a high end, privately owned property. The comfortable accommodation sleeps up to five guests and overlooks the resort swimming pool and a lush oasis of coconut palms and tropical gardens. From the terrace, it has panoramic views over the Caribbean Sea. One of the best stretches of sandy beach on the island is a thirty second walk from the apartment through the lovely gardens. The beach comes complete with comfortable sun loungers, umbrellas, fresh towels daily, a beach bar, and beach & pool staff to help make your stay all the more relaxing. Glitter Bay resort offers many of the facilities of a top ocean front development with acres of lush gardens, a large swimming pool, tennis courts, gym, concierge, friendly staff and 24 hour security. The apartment is very well maintained and comes with its own housekeeper and property manager, meaning it has a high standard of cleanliness, and is properly managed. It offers everything you could desire in a beachside hideaway and is perfect for a honeymoon, romantic getaway or a family holiday. There is a children's swimming pool, and playground, as well as plenty of space for children to enjoy the freedom of a summer holiday. Really nice condo.

A great place to stay Barbados. Our group was four adults and we never felt crowded. Kitchen small but efficient and well equipped. Chantell (maid) is a sweetheart. Beds were comfy. A short walk to the pool or beach, neither of which were overcrowded in eary February. Christine (property manager) is very helpful. There is a beach/pool concierge that dispenses towels, assigns beach chairs and answers any questions or can provide recommendations. There are beach towels in the condo for times when you want to explore other beaches or take in a boat ride. In short: a very comfortable base to explore a lovely island, or just relax in the complex's comfy beach lounge chairs looking out over the ocean. All four of us had a great, relaxed stay.

One bit of feedback: the Smeg brand appliances were a bit of a mystery at first for us Americans, and some of the button-labels on the microwave were faded, so there was some guessing and fumbling in the kitchen at first. A user guide in a kitchen drawer would have been helpful. Totally nit-picking here, the place totally deserves the 5-star rating. (After using these appliaces for a week, I am wondering if they are available in the States. Dishwasher is as quiet as a mouse.)

Exceeded all expectations

We have just retuned from a fantastic 2 week holiday staying at Twin Palms. This really is a fantastic appartment in a perfect location. The photos represent the appartment well but if anything it was bigger and better that we expected. The rooms are spacious, terrace fantastic with and the appartment is equipped with everything you need. The robes were a nice touch that we appreciated. The housekeeper Chauntel is great and the ensures that appartment is always immaculate. The Glitter bay grounds/pool/beach are maintained to a high standard and the allocation of loungers and parasols for the duration of the stay was great, as was being able to collect towels on a daily basis from the concierge desk. Glitterbay is situated on a lovely long stretch of beach that was never busy. There are a number of good value beach bars along the beach, all are very good for lunch or a drink. We visited a couple of other beaches but they weren't a patch on Glitter bay. Glitter bay is also well located for accessing the restaurants and shops in Holetown which are a short taxi ride away, although we tended to stop a bus at the gate as they were so frequent and took you in in minutes for $1US. I would highly recommend this appartment, it is ideal for a family or group of friends. Anoushka and Christiana (property managers) were really helpful and everything went smoothly through the booking process and our stay. I'm sure this will not be our last visit to Glitter bay.

Lovely modern apartment

Lovely apartment, exactly like the photographs. We'd seen some other properties in Glitter Bay which were starting to look a bit tired, Twin Palms was however really modern, bright and airy. The booking process was faultless with Anoushka and Christina keeping us updated with all we needed to know. The housekeeper Chauntel kept the property spotless every day and even did our laundry for us. The balcony was a lovely area to sit with a drink and soak up the view after a hard day at the beach ! We had a great stay for a special occasion.

A relaxing and beautiful place to stay

We can't speak highly enough about Twin Palms, the accommodation has been furnished to a very high standard with lots of thought to the décor, the pool is a very tranquil place to relax during the day (and teach our little one to sleep) and the beach has to be the best in Barbados (we stayed in Payne's Bay last time around). And if that's not enough Chantelle and Christina looked after every need and provided great local advice. See you again soon (we hope!)

Above and beyond waht we expected!!

From start to finish our booking and stay went above and beyond what we expected. Anoushka and Christine - Property Managers were efficient and prompt in every single detail. Chauntel, the housekeeper, was absolutely lovely and very informative when we first arrived at the property,

I would highly recommend staying here. It is beautifully decorated - quiet - just steps from a magnificent beach and bus stop at entrance to the complex.

Completely Amazing!!!

I have to say that Twin Palm's is a little gem. We have stayed at many private rentals and their was something that was just special about this one. It felt so homey. From start to finish everything went just perfect. Anoushka, the manager reassured me with my first experience of wiring money. She also was so amazing, in that, when we arrived we had an English coffee pot. I had no idea what to do with this kind of coffee maker. Much to our delight, she went right out an purchased us a Cuisinart coffee maker. Now that is service! I was so happy to have my morning coffee. Chantel the cleaning lady would do anything you wanted her to do for you. We had left a bag at the airport and she summoned the driver right away to see if he could pick it up for us.The location of the unit is just beautiful. Every morning we woke up to the sunshine and beautifully manicured gardens. The veranda was so roomy and had beautiful comfortable furniture to relax on. It was just so private being on the top floor. We loved the fact that we could make free local calls right from the room. We were so amazed that we were able to watch our MN Wild hockey team right on the TV in Barbados. The staff at the restaurant were very kind and helpful. It is on a beautiful beach and the pool area is also very nice. They have a small beach bar right at the complex and everything we had was delicious. We were centrally located, close to Holetown. The busing system their is so efficient and it cost one dollar to ride the bus no matter how long your trip was. What can you get for one dollar, nowadays?? The local people are some of the nicest people we have ever met in any of our travels. We have never made so many friends.To have a man get up so a lady can sit down on the bus is something we never see any more. We also felt extremely safe in our unit as well as everywhere we went. Barbados is so beautiful and Twin Palms is perfect. We will definitely be back!!

Twin Palms is located just a few minutes from Holetown on the breathtaking West Coast in St James where you can relax on a gorgeous stretch of white sandy beach overlooking the turquoise water of the Caribbean. Beach towels, sun loungers with mattresses and parasols are all available free of charge each morning on the beach or by the pool. You can enjoy every type of water sport, water skiing, sailing, diving and paragliding. The snorkelling all along the beach is excellent and you may even see a turtle! Windsurfing is available on the south coast side of the island. Game fishing and boats for hire can all be arranged. Close by are a variety of world class restaurants, golf, polo and numerous other attractions. Within ten minutes you can be up in the hills away from the manicured lawns and landscaped gardens. There, among the quaintly painted matchbox houses there is a different world of cane fields, rum bars, tiny villages and magnificent views.

There is direct access onto the sumptuous terrace overlooking the manicured gardens, pool and white powdered sandy beach. The guest bedroom also has a king-size bed which converts to twin beds. There is also an extra bed available in this room to accommodate a third person. It has air-conditioning, a ceiling fan, double doors onto a small patio and use of its own bathroom. The kitchen benefits from modern appliances including dishwasher, microwave, oven, hob and fridge freezer. There is also laundry area with washer/dryer. The large terrace is divided into two living areas and overlooks the sea, beach and gardens. It consists of a dining area seating 6 and a more relaxed area with comfortable seating. The living area opens onto the terrace. There is a large television with DVD and surround sound system. It has two sofas, air-conditioning plus ceiling fans and drapes. Panoramic glass doors slide back fully onto the large terrace dining area. Housekeeping: A housekeeper comes 3 hours per day, 6 days per week. The housekeeper's responsibilities are mainly focused on cleaning the apartment, with some laundry. She is available to do additional work for you such as cooking or babysitting, but the guest must settle with her directly. Please note the housekeeper DOES NOT work on BANK HOLIDAYS.
