Thank you! Affordable place to stay.
This is a great place for the price. You still get a peaceful view of the ocean sitting on your balcony. The location is great because it is close to anywhere you would want to go.
The condo itself is great for the price. Nothing real fancy but it was perfect for us. We are a family of 4. 2 kids (15 and 12) They fit just fine on the fold out couch.
Do not stay here!
This is the worst condo I have ever stayed in, ants all over the kitchen, filthy, dirty everything, stained bedding, towels, so happy to leave.
Great location and a resort with good accessiblity
We enjoyed our condo - starting with always finding a parking space close to our unit. The unit was equipped with beach chairs, a couple of coolers, and water noodles - all used daily. The view was beautiful and everything was in good and working order. The kitchen and bath are a bit dated, but not a problem, especially since we felt the rent was very reasonable. We had friends paying way more at huge resorts where parking was not convenient and pools were always crowded.
Amazing view, could use some updating inside.
Our trip was amazing and we had the basics so we were happy. Property wasn’t as updated as the others I’ve been in however we weren’t planning to spend too much time in the room so we still enjoyed our stay. The bathroom sink was leaking underneath, shower faucet and showerhead were leaking but the pressure was still ok, the pullout bed in the living room was a disaster and should just be replaced because the springs dug into your back when you laid on it. Out of the 25 knives left in the drawer (why there were so many I don’t know) none were sharp but aside from that we appreciated the iPod speaker system and great movie channels for the evening that we weren’t expecting. The view was so nice.
The Papakea is a beautiful property.
The Papakea is the perfect location in the heart of Kaanapoli. The grounds are immaculate and views beautiful. While you can leave the property and enjoy the hustle & bustle of Kaanapoli, it's wonderful to come back to such peaceful and beautiful views of the grounds. I have stayed at the Papakea many times over the last 15 yrs. And it is ONLY at the Papakea I will stay!
Miranda was very helpful during the full process. We stayed in D202 and it was a nice condo with all that we needed (coffee pot, tea pot, toaster, blender, all utensiles, plates, cups and dishes, both wash and beach towels, and the best was the washer dryer inside the condo! That allows you to pack lighter). Though there are two pools to choose from we hung out at the one we could see from our lanai and living room. The most we saw the pool seating at was about 30% capacity and that was only for about 3 hours. We didn't, but several people took advantage of the poolside gas grills. Whalers village is about a 6 minute drive, and Lahaina is about a 15 so those are both close for evening shopping and many restaurants. We drove up to the public Kapalua beach and that is only 15 minutes (popular place to snorkel since the bay is protected from big waves). My wife would drop me off at airport beach (about 3 minute drive), I'd get my morning snorkeling in then walk back to Papakea on the beach and walkways. From airport beach south (toward Black Rock) is the most colorful coral. If you are a good swimmer I suggest snorkeling the full way around black rock. On the west and north side it gets about 30-40ft deep and I saw some bigger fish and many schools of smaller fish and a few turtles (it's about 0.4 miles of snorkeling). Relax and enjoy Papakea and the west side!
