XVI century house located in the Albaicín equipped for 10 people.

Magnificent and spacious Moorish house renovated 1525 with the original materials of the house. It is located on the Paseo de los Tristes, at the foot of the Alhambra, in the Barrio del Albaicín. Daily cleaning service included in the price, except in the month of August.

The house is originally from 1525, immediately following the conquest, and belonged to a Muslim soldier who took the Christianized name Gavidia Atienza. It was restored at the end of the 90s using the original materials of the house, as its columns, footings, bricks flask and maintaining the original water tank receiving water from the source Aynadamar (Fountain of Tears). We have tried to preserve the style and atmosphere of an exciting time for us in a city full of charm, enchantment and mystery.

It has three floors and a large terrace and a veranda, both overlooking the Alhambra, the Sacromonte and the zirí wall. There is central heating and WiFi throughout the house.

On the ground floor is the main living and dining room of the house, which includes three rooms, one of them recreating a teahouse. In addition, there is the kitchen, which overlooks the dining room through a window from the Palace of Zayas and built by the disciples of Eiffiel.

One room, the smallest, is situated on the ground floor of the house next to the patio / main hall and facing the Arab water tank with a bath-shower with Arab reminiscences with vaulted ceiling, 135X180 bed and window to the street walking the historic district of Albayzin.

The first floor has three bedrooms all very spacious suite, and one with an interior courtyard.

The first of the rooms has a small private patio full of plants and flowers and an Arabic-inspired fountain, a beautiful double bed with canopy of 150x180, bathroom with original tiles of the s. XV and bathtub, air conditioning, television, stereo and for the most artistic, a wall piano.

Another room, the largest, has a dressing room and an impressive bathroom with oval bathtub. The bed is 200x200 and has a television and air conditioning.

The last room of this plant gives the façade, has its own bathroom with tub and has a bed of 150x200. It has air conditioning and television.

On the second floor is a cozy lounge with two rooms, one of them with spectacular views of the Alhambra. It features TV and DVD. From the living room leads to the terrace, flooded floors and decorated with industrial style furniture. From here you can see the Alhambra almost as if playing. In addition you can climb to another sun terrace overlooking the neighborhood of Sacromonte, Albaicin Alto and zirí wall.

On this floor there is another room, also very spacious with own bathroom and access to the terrace. It has air conditioning and television.


The house is available in its entirety for the user, except for a small studio that is located on the second floor and the basement, where the machine room is located.

The guest will have the number of bedrooms requested, depending on the number of people and the use they want to give (double or single), as indicated below.

Even though the house has five bedrooms for two people each, in double beds in all cases, there will be as many bedrooms as necessary depending on the number of guests. In any case if you want to have the fifth bedroom the rate to apply will be the corresponding to ten people.

We included in the price the daily cleaning of the house (except during the month of August, in which the house in perfect condition will be given and shall keep the guest during his stay), both the public areas and rooms. This service, although it is included in the price is mandatory. Rakia, of Moroccan origin, will be the person in charge of this work also if you need to wash some clothes, she is also responsible for it.

If you want further charge of serving breakfast, they can check the price and conditions of this service, warning in advance of arrival.

They can also prepare a magnificent Moroccan lunch, as a couscous or tagine delicious, accompanied by typical snacks from Morocco. The price of this service will depend on the menu that is offered and must be notified in advance. Always under budget.

This place could not be more cool! The pictures don’t really do it justice...the quality of the restoration/ preservation is just outstanding. It was like living in a museum piece. Definitely a highlight of our trip to Andalucia. The views of the Alhambra are extraordinary. Highly recommended!!!
