Delicious pure oil for meals is available, if requested - these may be taken on the terrace. These two houses, designed by the architect owner, are a mixture of elegance together with traditional and modern items in order to create a cosy and 'open-to-nature' atmosphere. Each house is equipped with all modern facilities and the fireplaces spread their joyful warmth in the large living-rooms. The garden overlooking the lake - where swimming is delightful ; one boat waits for you! - is a perfect place to rest in the hammocks, and also to have fantastic barbecue parties. This peaceful and authentic paradise is discreetly supervised by the delicate and warm welcoming hospitality of its owner

we were a group of 12 friends. we all agree on the special vibe of the place.
the house felt like a home, where all we needed in order to cook and dine, relax and enjoy the quietness and eachother's company, was there. The host took care of us wonderfully without invading on our privacy. the surroundings of the house are more beautiful than a picture can take. it is a very special place, not to be given to anyone ... we should take care of this address. thank you taifun for the amazing week
Fisek's house and Kriska house are both excellent, well designed and with stunning views of the huge beautiful gardens and the vast Iznik lake. We, my wife and I, our children and grand children, stayed here several times and we enjoyed every bit of them each time. Our host, Tayfun, is a wonderful host. He is always there for us, weather we needed something regarding the property, or for help within Bursa area. I have not seen a better host. The garden is huge and have lots and lots of flowers. There are fruits and vegetables that are at our fingertips, and Tayfun always encourage us to pick, or pick himself and bring to us.
We are looking forward to our next visit in May, and definately we will visit again at every opportunity.
The property was clean and well maintained and our host was very gracious and generous with his time to help us learn about his part of Turkey.
After an enjoyable stay in urban Istanbul, we wanted to experience a contrasting Turkish venue. At the recommendation of our Istanbul hostess, we rented a lovely lakeside home--one of two on the property--designed and owned by a Turkish interior designer. Our roomy house had views of the lake and the owner's handsome gardens--then in spring bloom. Our host was most helpful--generous with his time, hospitality, and advice. This is a special place, offering a special experience of Turkey, and we highly recommend it.
It was such a beautiful experience for me and my family. The place is wonderful. A beautiful garden and such a lovely place to spend time with the family.Tayfun and his family are super nice and it was a great pleasure to have met them.
It's a great place to go away and enjoy a relaxing vacation with your family. You will need a car to arrive to the house and you will also need to pass by a grocery shop to get food and stuff, then you are ready to enjoy this beautiful place, I miss the place already!
I have never done any review for places I have visited. Well, this gorgeous home did force me to think about leaving a feedback. From the moment I drove my car through gate of this peace of heaven, the first thing popped to my head was this: I must let everybody know about this incredible place. We had an unforgettable blast during our stay at gorgeous Fisek's. I feel deeply sorry that I won't be able to describe how beautiful it's to be there at Fisek's. We thought that we'll have a house overlooking the lake, but we didn't. We had an entire lake overlooking a house! Seriously, you'll enjoy swimming in the largest lake and most beautiful lake in the Marmara region. everyday, we spent hours swimming in Iznik lake surrounded by the green mountains. We had like 5 different charming outdoor patios and tables. There is no word can describe how peaceful it's to sit by the lake and have a nice warm cup of Turkish coffee, such a treatment! We also enjoyed having a family BBQ. We were honored to meet Mr. Tayfyn who was so kind and so generous. I still regret it that I haven't had that cup of coffee when he invited me to his house. I had a great time talking to Mr. Tayfun and I'm glad that I had a chance to get to know him better. He made us feel like home and insisted that we pick fruits from his garden. Tomato, berry tomato, fig, grape, apple, eggplant, green peppers, berry, you name it! What else did we need more than that? The house was charming and clean. It has a fully-equipped kitchen and a spacious living room. You won't forget the breathtaking views from the balcony, or should I say balconies? Each bedroom has its own large balcony and a comfortable cozy bed. I can keep going but I know I'd need to spend 99999999 more characters which may not be enough. In short, stay at Fisek's, or stay home!
(thank you Mr.Tayfyn!)
Located only 2 hours from Istanbul and 30 minutes from Iznik (capital of the Ottoman Ceramic and with its impressive Byzantine archaeological vestiges), Kriska's House and Fisek's House are situated beside the magnificent Iznik Lake, the perfect balance between culture and nature. Bursa, the capital of the region, is worth visiting as well for its museum, amazing mosques and kebab restaurants. Once back, enjoy a swim in the lake or a delightful and relaxing bath in the natural hot springs, surrounded by olive trees - the perfect opportunity to enjoy and feel in harmony with this peaceful and rich nature. Obviously, a visit to the 'hammam' traditional Turkish bath, with its several marble steam rooms and dry rooms, followed by a marvellous massage is the 'neo plus ultra' of the 'Art de Vivre' of these Ottoman and Byzantine civilizations. History, archaeology, geology, Turkish cuisine and the warmth of hospitality gather there in this precious and uncontaminated paradise.
