This elegant 2 Bedrooms & 2 Bathrooms Apartment is ideally located in the heart of Paris, rue Beauregard Paris 2. Situated in the Montorgueil neighborhood, you will enjoy this shopping district very typical : traditional restaurants, sidewalk cafés, food trades, groceries, bakers (croissants, baguettes). This famous quarter is a lively and pedestrianized area, rare in Paris.
Apartment completely refurbished recently, very spacious, decorated with all modern convenience, and it sleeps 6 people (+ one baby cot if needed). The bedding is new and high quality. A rare light : many large windows with open views in every room! Luxury apartment with timber, flooring, moldings and fireplaces, high ceilings..
Its central localisation is perfect to go for a walk and discover the charm of Paris. On foot, you join the district of Beaubourg and Le Centre Pompidou, Châtelet-Les Halles, the banks of the Seine, Notre Dame and l'Ile de la Cité, the Louvre museum, Le Marais, L'Opéra Garnier.. so I invite you to read reviews from previous guests on the location of the apartment. Each time it is described as ideal for exploring the capital.
For shopping, you will find luxury shops near the Place des Victoires or in the district of the Opera : Printemps and Galeries Lafayette. For fashion, the Marais district also serves as a reference. The street 'Rue de Rivoli' and the shopping complex 'Les Halles' are also very close to the apartment.

Neau Laurent purchased this apartment in 2010
We had pleasant days in Paris. Laurent and his father Alain are very kind and were waiting us with a bottle of wine!! The apartment is fantastic and complete. Very close to Metro, supermarket (Monoprix), pharmacy, bristros, Pubs,.. We had the L'open Tour (city tour) crossing the street so it was just Hop On and Hop off to meet Paris. Thank you Laurent and Alan.
It was wonderful to enjoy Paris as a Parisian for a few days. This property is very close to the tube stop and we enjoyed the proximity to Montriguil (sp?). Fresh cheese, bread, fruit, flowers.... All within a few blocks. One street away was also an opportunity to get a head start on a prom gown for my daughter! The only drawback was the stairs. The floors are original and the character of this apartment was awesome. I kind of liked the stairs because it was a great excuse to burn off some of the great Parisian food!
The apartment was perfect for the 4 of us. It was close to several metro stops and walking distance to attractions and restaurants. Check in was convenient and Neau was easy to communicate with. Very clean and in a cool neighborhood.
My husband and I and 2 friends stayed in Laurent's charming apartment for a total of 4 nights. The apartment was centrally located, charming and well equipped. The windows and views from those windows, to me was breathtaking. This was my first visit to Paris and I found the architecture amazing. I would have been happy to sit in one of the comfortable chairs with wine and music and just gaze at the lovely rooftops for hours.
The layout worked well even with the 2 bathrooms but only 1 potty arrangement. I agree with another reviewer however that 6 people would be a stretch. The kitchen is a little tight but we didn't cook so it wasn't an issue for us. The book of information, which can be found on the desk, was very useful, as were the maps provided. We didn't have the opportunity to meet with Laurent but his associate was helpful.
The apartment is on the 4th floor (by US standards) and the steps can be a bit of a challenge but mostly just with the luggage. A good excuse to consume more calories when out and about....
The apartment was clean, the beds were comfortable and there was amble storage space.
The directions to the apartment and Laurent's suggestions were great. Do take a taxi if you have luggage. We had arrived at the train station and the system was clear and easy and we were in a taxi and to the apartment in no time.
I would definitely stay here again when visiting Paris.
We travel globally quite often and 90% of the time, we use apartments since we like to cook, we like our own space and it is generally a much better value than a hotel. On business I stay in Marriott hotels exclusively, with the family its always an apartment.
This apartment is located on the 3rd floor meaning its really the 4th floor if you reside in the US. There is no elevator (lift) for this apartment and its 79 steps up to the entrance of the apartment so be prepared. At the end of the day of sightseeing, it can be a bit of a challenge but not horrible.
The entire process of booking the apartment was seamless. The owner is really incredible. He gave us fantastic VERY detailed information of the area, where grocery stores are located, where the metro stations are, restaurants, etc. His advice on getting from CDG to the apartment by using a taxi was spot on. (We used Uber, it was 45 euro instead of 60 euro). If you take the train and have luggage, you will change trains a few times, go up and down a few sets of stairs and pay about the same price. Please, do yourself a favor and take a cab or Uber, the train is simply not worth it.
The apartment was nice, very clean and spacious. The windows are fantastic as you can get a breeze to run thru it and it is pretty quiet. The bathrooms are a bit different. You have two "bathrooms" but there is only one potty. So, one has a sink and a shower, the other has a sink, shower and a laundry machine (no dryer which is common) and then you have a small room off the main hallway with the one potty. Workable and fine.
Neighborhood is pretty nice, close to the metro (two of them), 100 meters or so from a MonoPrix (full grocery) and from there, a great area to walk to with shops and restaurants all around. Very little traffic around the apartment itself but close to a main street. There were some "ladies of the evening" a few hundred meters and within sight from the windows on the south side. Quite entertaining to watch and we never felt unsafe in the least. But bear in mind you can see this anywhere in Paris so to us it was normal stuff.
Overall, would I stay here again? Yes, without question. Good value, everything was in good working order. The apartment was clean, appliances all worked, water heater worked well, showers were good, plenty of dishes, cookware, etc. Very happy how it was laid out and how it was fully stocked. There is no oven which we missed but that was OK, really did not need it.
We were a group of three adults (all over 70) and we absolutely loved the apartment and the location. We were greeted upon our arrival by a very pleasant person who went over all the details of the spic & span apartment. The information regarding the neighborhood supplied by the owner was very helpful. The apartment was a short walk to Rue Montorgueil, where, along with the side streets, there were a plethora of great restaurants, bakeries, wine shops, stores, etc. We were only a half a block from the metro, providing easy transportation to any part of the city that we wanted to visit and easy access to the train station for our Chunnel trip. Breakfast in the apartment allowed us to ease our way into a busy day, as full of visits to as many key Paris venues as we could cram into the day. It was a warm & welcoming place to which to return for some wine, bread & cheese before venturing out for a late dinner, choosing a different delightful restaurant every night. The 79 steps (even with luggage) made the wonderful views of the neighboring streets worth the walk up. For three or four adults who are comfortable with stairs, it is ideal. But between the size of the apartment and the fact of a single toilet, I would not want to stay there with six people. Should we be fortunate enough to return to Paris, we will hope it is available for the dates of our visit and we will book it immediately!
