Why Amanda and Derek Cornes chose Ross-on-Wye

Little Howle Farm is located in the hamlet of Howle Hill, close to Ross on Wye. It borders onto an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is minutes away from the Forest of Dean and Symonds Yat. The countryside around Howle Hill is simply stunning and the views over the Wye valley are breath-taking.

The farm itself was built of local stone in the early 1800's. We instantly fell in love with the place and have spent 3 years converting the barns and renovating the farmhouse.

What makes this barn unique

Little Howle Farm perfectly situated for a visit to the Wye Valley and provides a luxurious base to return to after a hard days walking, canoeing, cycling or just meandering around the lovely local towns of Ross on Wye or Monmouth.

Milking Parlour Crafts (www.milkingparlourcrafts.com) is located on the farm and provides a wide range of craft activities (floristry, card making, general crafts, art classes, photography) that can be combined into your holiday. Bespoke classes can be arranged. Call Amanda on 01989 485 226.

Beautifully cosy

  • 5 of 5

This was a lovely property to relax in and has already been recommended to friends and family. Amanda was very welcoming, even giving us our first breakfast and warm, fresh bed on the first morning. Highly recommended and given the opportunity, we will stay there again!!

Beautiful cottage in wonderful setting.

  • 5 of 5

Cottage was beautifully finished with everything you needed for a relaxing stay. Amanda was welcoming and I am sure would have been there to help if we needed her, but left us to our own devices once we were settled. Would return in a flash! Lovely area - just what we needed.

Wonderful

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Little Howle Farm from Monday 10th July for five days. We had a great welcome from Amanda. On our first day Amanda popped over with home made scones with cream and jam. We stayed in Acorn cottage for two people, which was lovely, everything you need, plenty of space and very comfortable beds with white cotton bedding - perfect. The Farm is situated perfectly for days out in this lovely area, Malvern was georgous. Would definitely recommend and will be going back

Terrific!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in Acorn Barn for a week in mid May, everything was simply delightful. It was beautifully furnished with a very comfy bed, excellent fittings and furnishings and a wonderful attention to the little details which made it such a delightful place to stay. Amanda looked after us brilliantly and we so enjoyed the generous welcome pack and bottle of wine on arrival! We would not hesitate to recommend Little Howle Farm for a wonderful holiday base to explore the Wye Valley and to meet Amanda who puts her all into making sure her guests have the best possible holiday experience! We will be back!

Cosy barn conversion with wow factor and exceptionally welcoming hosts

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in Rivington and felt so welcome from the moment we arrived and were shown around by Amanda, who clearly has a real passion for welcoming people to her beautiful home and helping them to enjoy it. The barn feels like a serious treat and has a real wow factor. The attention to detail to make this place feel like home from home is exceptional. Its a real gem and we feel very lucky to have stayed here, and being fairly new still, we just hope it stays enough of a secret for it to be available when we want to book our next stay! Well done Amanda and Derek for your huge success in turning your home into such a special place and thank you for sharing it with us!
