Why Amanda and Derek Cornes chose Ross-on-Wye
Little Howle Farm is located in the hamlet of Howle Hill, close to Ross on Wye. It borders onto an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is minutes away from the Forest of Dean and Symonds Yat. The countryside around Howle Hill is simply stunning and the views over the Wye valley are breath-taking. The farm itself was built of local stone in the early 1800's. We instantly fell in love with the place and have spent 3 years converting the barns and renovating the farmhouse.
What makes this Barn unique
Little Howle Farm perfectly situated for a visit to the Wye Valley and provides a luxurious base to return to after a hard days walking, canoeing, cycling or just meandering around the lovely local towns of Ross on Wye or Monmouth. Milking Parlour Crafts (www.milkingparlourcrafts.com) is located on the farm and provides a wide range of craft activities (floristry, card making, general crafts, art classes, photography) that can be combined into your holiday. Bespoke classes can be arranged. Call Amanda on 01989 485 226.

A delight to stay here, gorgeous decor and design in a home within beautiful surroundings
Warm welcome, not rushed and genuine, Amanda is a superb host!
A gift of fresh eggs, bread, milk and scones were so thoughtful, a treat and not to mention delicious. What a beautiful home, ample space, clean throughout! We had everything we needed kitchen-wise. Luxurious finish and feel to the property, truly a beautiful place to stay. We are a family of 4, 2 young children's (20mnths + 3mnths) and it's was ideal, very quiet, Stairgate provided and even a small token of toys from Amanda for the eldest to play with. The property is a 6 minute drive to Ross on Wye which is a pretty village, and Monmouth is 17-20 minutes drive away again another lovely village. We explored ledbury a lovely Tudor town. Sadly we didn't get to walking but we did enjoy hearing the odd cow moo during the day through our stay and the immediate freshness of the country air on our doorstep. Truly lovely, we'll definitely come back in future, highly recommend, you won't be disappointed.
We are a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children). We stayed in Rivington Barn. It is a beautiful converted barn in an excellent location. The owners could not make you feel more welcome. We would highly recommend it.
From the moment we arrived, to a wonderfully warm welcome, superbly equipped accommodation, gorgeous location, we had a truly lovely and relaxing break. So much to do in the local area am sure we’ll be going back again. Thoroughly recommended!
Beautiful barn with luxurious feel.
We had a lovely time at Little Howle Barn . Amanda and Derek were very friendly and helpful and put so much care in to being good hosts. Loved the warm bread, fresh eggs and bottle of wine in the fridge. We would love to come back and stay again!
As described. Beautiful accommodation and location. Attentive host, could not do enough for us - birthday cake, warm bread in the morning and fresh eggs from neighbours. Lovely people. Beautiful house. Stunning location.
